Australia Domestic Season 2017/18

Postby Jim05 » Mon Feb 19, 2018 3:41 pm

Only 18 wickets in the best part of 4 days at the MCG. All 4 SS games and the test there all ended in draws but there is nothing wrong with the pitch [emoji3]

If Cooper hadn’t have got that century, he would’ve been on the chopping block.

It’s a choice of Dalton or Nielsen/Valente/Mennie batting at 7 and move Cooper to open.

I’d like to see Carey at 5.

Weatherald
Cooper
Ferguson
Head
Carey
Lehmann
Mennie
Zampa
Richardson
Winter
Worrall

Cooper is not an opener.
Dalts holds his spot we have seen his best is well and truly good enough! we stayed with trav without making a "big" score i think the same needs to be done here.

best thing for Harry would be to leave if carey isnt going anywhere. otherwise he is second to him until paine retires. (could be a while)

The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Ah FFS! that's it = drop him...Don't even let him bat in the 2nd innings. Play with 10.

Agree, he has to be dropped now.

You can handle getting out to good balls, but both his dismissals last game, and then that shot, are just terrible shots. He has no confidence and cant even make a run for Kensington.

For him to play that disgraceful shot as soon as his opening partner got out is unacceptable!!

The fast bowlers as a grouping have got good returns so far in this match

342 Queensland
9/245 Worrall/Winter/Mennie
1/111 Zampa/Head/Lehmann

3/40 South Australia
3/36 Neser/Feldman/Doggett/Wildermuth
xxxx No spin as yet

Spinners may come into it later in the match
Poses a question of sorts
Should the selectors have played Valente as the 4th seamer in this match ?
Or should they play Valente form here on ?
He could replace one of the current batsman

Should have played Kane Richardson as 4th seamer IMO
This is Tony Clifton! A name to respect! A name to fear!
