Cool, any reason they chose Brisbane?

Johnathon Brown is my favourite player and we got to have a few drinks with him a number of years ago and my son thought he was great

Met him after the pre season game and seemed a decent bloke so I personally hope he goes well, he spent a fair time talking to my son about footy. Was really generous with his time

Reckon he ended up with tagging roles in the back half of the season when he came back from injury. My guess (and it's purely that), is that Brissy saw the writing on the wall - ie, they have much less need for him now and dont see him being involved when they're decent again - So effectively "managed" him out.

Be interesting to see how he goes at Port - I would have thought they had enough ball-winning mids with disposal no worse than Rockys and more pace. There's no arguing he's always known how to find the pill though.

Whether he is or isn’t they still need to pay him coz he’s contracted.
I'm hearing Brisbane have expressed interest.

Why would Brisbane want him when they have Stef Martin and Archie Smith? They also have a hound developing kid (cannot think of his name) coming on nicely.

Weren't there reports at some stage of Martin wanting back to Victoria?

That was last year for memory, his value dropped a bit after he headbutted Steven May's shoulder, it was good to see him return to his previous form this season.

It's like the absolute flog of a man Barrett pushing the "Port have to be close to Salary cap" agenda for months on end. Nek minnit we sign Dixon on "huge" coin.

Are you a player manager or on an AFL list management team? If no, yes you are.

I do it too, it is fun, but we ought to be careful declaring with certainty. Dixon is a recent example where the punditry were way off.

Someone will pick him up, and it'll free space in the Port cap as well, and get rid of some dead wood.

i dont bloody know

"There's enough interest there to hopefully get something done for him and he just wants a new start, and show he can still play at the highest level," Lobbe's manager Michael Doughty told NAB AFL Trade Radio on Wednesday.

There has already been interest in the Victorian.

"A couple of northern clubs have shown some reasonable interest, so we're just working through that at the moment. I've had some phone calls in the last couple of days from a few other clubs, so there's enough to say that we can hopefully get something done for him," Doughty said.
