Stoinis good at the end with 60 odd not out, lot of others could be out batted by 10 year olds

Probably the only gamble CA has taken in the past 12 months that has been a success.

Hilton Cartwheel: Averaging 1 with the bat at a S/R of 8.69 in ODI's. 27.5 in tests and yet to take a wicket.

Stop picking blokes because they have 4 names, it doesn't always work.

Love how he's the go to opener with Finch injured, wtf. He's showed he's not up to it so f**k him off. Gives the selectors the chance to bring back everyone's favourite allrounder Mitch Marsh!

Cartwright is a frustrating one - wealth of talent, and at lower levels showed a very strong technique combined with timing and power - CA believed he was gonna be the next big thing.. seems he's just the next Marsh instead.

You'd think Head would be the obvious choice or chuck in Cummins or Wade if they wanna protect the middle order.

Why did India play two spinners and we didn't play any?

He looked totally inept against the new ball yesterday. I'm not sure who thought it was a good idea for him to open the innings, but it was a big mistake. He's a bloody good fielder though.

So am I, my arm isn't as strong as it used to be but nothing will get past me, I hold my catches and have an accurate throw but I won't be getting a gig solely on that attribute.

Yeah I would of opened with Trav and have Cartwright in the middle order in the first match then drop him for Handscomb in last night's match. Or yeah open with Wade and that gives us the extra spot for a allrounder/bowler.

You mean frontline spinners? See intially I would of had Zampa and Agar in the same team.

My 11 for Sunday's match if Finch is not fit-
Warner
Head
Smith
Handscomb
Maxwell
Stoinis
Wade
Agar
Cummins
Coulter-Nile
Zampa/Richardson (Depending on conditions)

If Finch is fit-
Warner
Finch
Smith
Head
Maxwell/Handscomb
Stoinis
Wade/Handscomb (Wade struggling with the bat and found it hard going in the heat yesterday, Pete a chance to take the gloves?)
Agar
Cummins
Coulter-Nile
Zampa/Richardson

I think having 7 bowling options (Head, Maxwell, Stoinis, Agar, Cummins, Coulter-Nile and Zampa/Richardson is too many, especially when our bats are struggling.

I'd play an extra bat.

The problem is, I don't think we've taken a spare bat over there. (Cartright the one who's not listed in the sides above, but isn't really a bat).

The first 2 times I saw Marcus Stoinis bat, I had thought he was not up to first class level , now he plays well for Australia
The last 2 times Ive seen Hilton Cartwright bat in India , Im thinking the same as Marcus Stoinis, hopefully Im wrong

Surely India is the last place you'd take a rookie to make a name for himself though. Bloody hell!

No spare bat over there Trader. I think if Chris Lynn was available he'd be in the squad.

IMO old Mr Reliable George Bailey who I beleive is currently playing for Hampshire should be the extra bat on the tour.

Handscomb is keeping.

Finch is in for Cartwright.

I like it, we might be half a chance tonight.
