That's great news.
He should be able to play another 30 games between now and then. ;)

What do people think?

3 more years of Kurt on $650k or 2 more years of Goldy on $850k.
Lose/Lose situation for both

Melb & StK went 4-18 in 2014.

I could see tons of promise in the kids of both those sides. I don't see that yet with North, maybe they come on a bit next year

Both Melb and st kilda were chock full of early draft picks.

North don't have any of that.

Chock full?
St Kilda had 2 x top ten draft picks (McCartin & Billings), Melbourne had 3 (Petracca, Salem & Hogan).
McCartin & Petracca didn't debut until 2015 (thus making them unknown) so you're going on the other 3 to form your "chock full" statement?
We all know the trouble McCartin's had & Salem has been average at best.

7 players under 10 games today. If you get within 10 goals you'd be doing well

Make that 10 with Josh Williams coming in for the late Withdrawal of Tarrant.

North's First rounders since 2010

2010 - Pick 17 - Shaun Atley
2011 - Pick 18 - Bradley McKenzie
2012 - Pick 15 - Taylor Garner
2013 - Pick 8 - Luke McDonald
2014 - Pick 16 - Sam Durdin
2015 - Pick 21 - Ben McKay
2016 - Pick 12 - Jy Simpkin

That is a terrible bunch of young kids coming through. Atley, McDonald and Garner are all serviceable but the rest are either unproven or look nowhere near getting close to being top line AFL players

Atley & McDonald play league every week, Garner has had a shocking run with injuries but is now cementing his spot, how many games have you seen Durdin, McKay & Simpkin play?

Garner played a great game today I'll give you that. But you still have nobody on the list that genuinely looks like being one of the best in the Comp any time soon other than ben brown

Your changing the argument mid-stream.
Go back & have a look what started this & then read your posts one by one.
Try doing it with BOTH eyes open.

None of them are 'stars' (as yet) like you would expect from first round draft picks though

Durdin will be good but just needs to grow more.

Luke McDonald has lifted his game significantly this year, now averaging over 20 disposals per game [up from 13 last year] and is a very good player that could go to the next level in next couple of years.

I'm certainly no fan of Scott, in fact I don't like either of the brothers they just annoy me with their body language, carry on and the like but any way that's another story, I think it must be said that credit must be given to the Roos and Scott for the way they are going about this rebuild. Clearly blooding young lads.

Obviously this will cause some short term pain for what the Roos hope will be long term gain. Playing Daw in the ruck to see if he'll finally make it whilst dropping Goldy, Dropping Thomas etc which you know what they have to offer to get a good look at these blokes. Love seeing young lads get the chance on the big stage.

I reckon if you offered that margin to the Roos before the game they'd take it. I really do hope they find a couple of good ones out of this.
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........
