He's a gun.

We are very keen on him but our number 1 priority should be mids so I hope we don't chase him.

He's a gun.

He is very good and took a lot of intercept marks but by jesus he got some good delivery.

Collingwood rumoured to be offering a 7 year deal at $800-900k a season

Still don't reckon he's going anywhere. Bruce was right about him Friday Night that he's in the Ben Hart mould except I suspect he's going to be better than Ben Hart....

I have heard some media interviews but with the player payment agreement only being finalised recently I think he'll sign on over the next 2 weeks.

Can't say I've seen much of him, but wonder if Luke Dunstan might be the type of player the Crows would go after to add some grunt in the midfield? (No idea of his contract status or plans for the future at the Saints although would imagine there's several ahead of him there)

Big call saying he's going to better than Ben Hart. That's what I was referring to.

Better than Ben Hart? In today's zone off bullshit football no defender is better than their counterparts from that era. Blokes like Silvangi, Scarlett and Hart had to beat some bloody good forwards, often one on one. Nothing against Lever who looks a bloody good player but comparisons with past, proven champions are a bit premature.

moreso than another grunt player, we need someone with good footskills in the midfield as both the crouch boys are terrible. No idea what dunstan is like in that regard

Thats why Gibbs would have been so good.

Yep, at the moment you only have one key midfielder who regularly uses it well enough by foot. It's why I mentioned on Friday night that you guys need Smith (not a mid I know) in form for the rest of the year, because when on song he can make that tough kick that few others in your lineup can.

Laird Sloane Atkins and smith are the only ones with really penetrating kicks (tex does too but obv not a midfielder)

Need another one in there imo

Laird pops it up a bit on his longer kicks and Atkins can spray it a bit, although when on-song he's very good.

much better performance by the lads on Friday night. The intensity was back and the run and carry. What stood out for me:

Tex played the perfect captains game
Jenkins work rate was first class from the first minute and his kicking style has changed which provided much better accuracy
Knight while wont get the stats did some great contested things
Lever - well don't need to say anything its clear how he played
The Crouch boys are improving each week.
DMac has plenty to offer our side, just needs to improve his kicking

Not a fan of Jenkins but I always love it when a player responds to the critics and produces some solid performances.

Having a big fella average 15 disposals, 6 marks, 3 goals and 4 tackles over a 6 week period is better than handy.
