You seem a little on edge, I would've thought you'd be happy after that win. :D

P.S. Giants & Cats are now the clear favourites for the GF.

Alot will depend on getting Hogan back and firing. They are still pretty good, midfield is hard and tough and they have plenty of run. If they can keep playi NV the football over the last month or so then they are a chance as this is years its pretty wide open.

Collingwood seriously have nothing forward of centre, doesn't help that they prefer 25 handballs and 9 kicks to get it into the F50, when they do though they've got no targets. If I was Sydney I'd be ringing the Pies and telling them Tippett is theirs and we'll help pay him. They'll be desperate for a key target over the summer. Might not just be the W/L that decides Buckleys fate, if they can't get close to a side only in the top half dozen on their own deck playing a ridiculously labor intensive brand of footy then they might move him on anyway.

Played nicely into Port's hands as Jonas wore Moore like a glove and barely gave him and inch, Hartlett played one if his better games for sometime and while I was critical of White's selection he certainly had an impact on the contest and I wouldn't be surprised if he jags a Brownlow vote on the weekend. Some pace on the outside would have stood out in that dour inside contest.

Ryder again having ( just ) the better of a fellow ruckman in AA calculations, Grundy ok but if some Port's best are Powell-Pepper, Wines and Wingard and Port win then Ryder had the better of the duel.

On Wingard, his transition into the midfield mix has been nothing short of outstanding. In 11 games this year he's averaging 20 disposals ( 8 contested 12 Un ), 1.2 goals, 3.5 tackles, 4.4 I50, 3.1 clearances, 3.9 marks. After kicking 43, 43, 53 and 38 goals in the last 4 years as a small forward he's most certainly a key to our midfield mix from here on in. Still kicking over 1 a game too.

R.Gray, what more can be said about this guy that hasn't been. He was the difference on Saturday and should have probably had 7 or 8 to his name. Simply a class above the Collingwood defenders who had to go with him. Well, tried too anyway.

Boons best - R.Gray, SPP, White, Wines, Jonas, Hartlett, Ryder
PAFC. Forever.

Didn't see the game, I was at Elizabeth watching my other side lose at the same time. I love footy.
But, our forward line woes are what will cost Buckley his job. In his time at the club, he has not been able to get any sort of successful attack working for us. Whether it's poor forward structure or poor movement into the 50, it's the one thing he really hasn't ironed out and it's hurt us consistently during his tenure.

I can't say any more about the game, as I haven't seen any of it. But the scoreboard, not just the W/L, continues to tell a story for us.

It was a really good contest between the two.

Grundy had 19 touches, 8 marks, 27 hitouts, 2 clearances. Ryder had 10 touches, 5 marks, 28 hitouts, 4 clearances. Port had 53 to 47 I50's and won by 5 goals.

2 of Collingwoods best were mids ( Pendlebury and Treloar ) 4 of Ports were in our best ( SPP, Wines, White, Wingard ).

One on one, Grundy pretty good, but the scoreboard tells the tale of who had more influence.
