I found it quite unbelievable
The Japanese weren't that dumb and the Yanks that smart or lucky
Would have been more at home if released during the war as a propaganda movie

Reading about the man it seems if the story was going to be strictly true and include everything it wouldve been even more unbelievable.

The Dark Knight wrote:I've recently download a bunch of movies not on Netflix I've had on a 'watchlist' and will slowly get through them.
First I watched Jurassic World- Meh
Second was Full Metal Jacket- Awesome film!
And this afternoon I watched Trainspotting 2- Meh. I recently watched the first on Netflix but I must say I got bored with the second.
Left to watch-
There Will Be Blood
Concussion
The Magnificent Seven
Doctor Strange
The Accountant
The Fate of the Furious
Planning to go to Dunkirk at the movies next weekend and it looks like it will be a good film.

The film really gives you an appreciation for truly devastating situation those men stuck in Dunkirk found themselves in and showed how awful the effects of the war had on them.
I really enjoyed the fighter plane scenes. One small thing that I found funny, when Tom Hardy's character was wearing his oxygen mask and spoke through it he sounded a bit like his Bane from The Dark Knight Rises.
There's a lack of dialogue in some scenes which was a bit annoying as they obviously went for the big cinematic experience over extra plot building conversation.
The convenient plot points that tied the three different points of view together and progressed the plot annoyed me. A little too much of characters in the right place right time for my liking.
Saving Private Ryan is still the best WW2 movie I have seen.
