Correct. If you can't beat a top 8 side, you won't end up participating in September anyway.

Got a feeling this trip could derail Port and Gold Cost this year. Nothing to go on, just a hunch.

When you can't beat top 8 sides, REB, this China trip isn't going to derail anything.

The bigger picture mate, the bigger picture here, it's a measure to help secure our off field future. Yes, I know, I know, losing a game or missing finals because of it will be a massive LOL for all the knockers, but those knockers might need to be clever enough to remember when they shit canned us for being a basket case in the board room. I doubt it, they'll continue to be knockers, either way.

I expect Port to win this week. There's a lot of negativity coming from Rodney Eade and that spreads like wildfire. I know this is an important game at many levels for the Pear but first and foremost still has to be the 4 points.

I know, I was though. We had "excuses" in 2016 with the players we had off the park ( namely Ryder, Hombsch and Jonas with Trengove also out of the back 6 ) but that isn't the case now. Full list to pick from and Hinkley can have his best 22 out there.
