Probably not, but as you said previously, if you can't beat a top 8 team there's no point in being there, the soft draw only makes you look stupid in the end.

On the same token, is this years draw the most helpful it's been for those that finished in the top 8? With the demise of Hawthorn, Sydney and North it seems favourable, unless they've just been on the arse end of their previous success?

Correct. If you can't beat a top 8 side, you won't end up participating in September anyway.

A potential psychological issue stemming through the group (now unable to win the close ones that we were able to in 2013-14), that needs to be addressed bloody quickly, otherwise Ken will be flicking through seek by late July, early August.

When you can't beat top 8 sides, REB, this China trip isn't going to derail anything.

The bigger picture mate, the bigger picture here, it's a measure to help secure our off field future. Yes, I know, I know, losing a game or missing finals because of it will be a massive LOL for all the knockers, but those knockers might need to be clever enough to remember when they shit canned us for being a basket case in the board room. I doubt it, they'll continue to be knockers, either way.

Bigger picture?
There won't be one for Ken if you don't play finals this year.

Port by 28 points

Eade's a deflector. I can't believe Gold Coast are at $3.10.

Gold Coast are playing some good footy at the moment and Port will have to be at their absolute best to win this one.

I know, I was though. We had "excuses" in 2016 with the players we had off the park ( namely Ryder, Hombsch and Jonas with Trengove also out of the back 6 ) but that isn't the case now. Full list to pick from and Hinkley can have his best 22 out there.

Yes, it certainly is, I don't recall ever seeing it anywhere, not even in pre-season.

Dan Houston didn't fly out with the extended squad.

Last weeks 22, minus Houston, with Ah Chee, Johnson, Austin and Amon the additional players taken.

I'd expect Ah Chee to come in for Houston.

One of the Fox commentators ran with that in Houston's first game, even Tony Shaw, who somehow manages to survive despite having no medulla oblongata, was unimpressed.

BF suggesting Howard flew with the squad as well.

Hoping we are just managing Houston. He has had a really good start to the season, in my opinion.

Could start another topic but which Shaw do people think is the biggest flog?
I'd have Tony just in front of Heath.
Apologies to Ray who by all reports could have knocked his brother off first place.
