Interesting reaction by the unwashed to Cloke last night. Would have thought the usual protocol with a player that was discarded is to applaud them, no boo them all night.

Except he wasn't discarded. Still had a big $ contract and could of stayed if he wanted to but was told no guarantee of a game each week.
Think what put fans offside was the fact he had been talking to other clubs whilst still contracted.
Generally sacked players get a lot more sympathy from fans rather than ones who jump ship

He was not played by Collingwood and then traded for pick 76. I call that discarded...

I don't understand why he was booed. A premiership player who's time at Collingwood had come to an end... Have some respect

I think it was because he was the one who initiated the move and also has had a few parting shots at the club since

For what its worth, I have nothing but respect for the man. Played his heart out for the black and white for a lot of years. Still think, and will always believe that the way he was umpired had a massive effect on his decline. Continually punished for being too big and strong for his opponent resulting in frees awarded against him in probably well over 50% of his one-on-one contests.
