RIP Dragan Tankosic

Postby Computer Crashed » Wed Mar 15, 2017 5:47 pm

Sad news passed on to me today by a mate.
Gentle Giant Tanka passed away earlier this week aged 55.
Not a household name but he played some footy for Woodville & West Torrens in the early 80s.
Those that played SAFA in the late 80s early 90s would be well aware of who he was, big strong CHF for Pooraka that always had your back.
Was a pleasure knowing you and getting to play so many great games of footy with ya.
RIP big fella, the Bulls will be in force in a few days time.

I used to see his name in the Football Times all the time as a kid.
I never met the bloke, although I played 17s at Pooraka around the time he was here, but he had a fearsome rep.
My recollection is that he played at Greek-Camden as well.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Me too.

What an awesome name, equal parts mythical fire-breathing beast and military machine.
