That's a bit harsh youngest team in the league and played way above ourselves to finish top of the ladder.

And have been given an absolute lesson when it counts. When you lose this badly there has to be changes.
The club has absolutely stuffed things up by tanking those last few games. Not only did we lose momentum but we gifted Perth another Championship

Young teams generally do get given lessons by experienced veteran teams. I'm not saying it's disappointing we've lost 6 of our last 7 games but we were picked to finish 7th or 8th and finished 1st. It was a fairytale run we had no business finishing top.

I would think Randle might want to come back and seek redemption. I can't see Sobey wanting to leave now either.

Disappointing but I had my expectations well in check knowing how close this season had been for the most part. Also keeping in mind how the Hawks had handled us throughout the regular season. Sucks to lose like that still, especially after the bad blood from game 2. I don't think you make wholesale changes if you can help it though. We've still got (hopefully) a great coach, the best PG/player in the league and a great captain in Creek. The Ferguson experiment was great for the profile of the club but ultimately I think we should try something different next season.

Team had it longest winning run when Ferguson was in the starting 5, changed this in the last 4 games + finals and i think our balance of minutes was all wrong. He is a better Defensive player than Teys and scored about the same amount of points as him with many less shots.

That's true but Joey pulled him out of the starting lineup for a reason, maybe he felt Ferg was cooked he certainly looked like it or may be something behind the scenes? I rate Teys a better defender than Ferg and more chance to so something offensively too. If we sign a legit import in place of him next season could be a fair bit of improvement there. I'd expect the team to want an upgrade on Jacobsen too but the big issues will be trying to keep Randle & Sobey.

He is young so that makes it hard to give him a import spot, but Fergurson plays better Defensive up in the press, Teys has cement in his shoes. Ferg has a lot more upside in offence , can shoot if he took more shots. When you have three or four stars in Randle,Johnson, Sobey and Creek they all want to take the shots so i think Fergurson just couldn't get his Offensive going enough. Some players play there role that fits into the team, Will see one day if this young kid can make it the big show.

Wow, I didn't see it but this must've been what you were talking about, beef. The NBL have suspended Cairns Taipans import Tony Mitchell for all of next season for striking the ref with the ball in Game 2 of their series in Perth.

A full season suspension!
