Boo to Centrals training hard policy. You're meant to beat North and then Sturt next week to help us out...

well done to the roosters, the loss may well end up a blessing for the dogs, bit of a reality check

the biggest challenge for Laird, is try and keep the boys up between now and the finals

Good win to north today.
Great start and when the Dogs came back in the 2nd qtr North picked themselves up for the 2nd half. Don't know if Centrals "hard training" had anything to do with this game, but norths defence with Benny Hart marshalling it stood up again today. Great to see Ladhams back in the groove and a welcome return to Jummy Allan, both gave us something extra in the middle.

Howard was so fired up from the 1st bounce a got reported early in the 1st qtr. Was quieter in the 2nd qtr but came back into it in the 2nd half. Was worried that Schell and Callinan were going to run riot after the 2nd qtr but out defence was solid again. Hart just got better and better and in the last qtr 13 inside 50's only resulted in a single goal to the Dogs.

Ok, accepted, it will really count come finals, but this was a great morale booster for North and with Wundke and Wright up front, if we get Gill back for the finals and Bamford gets fit, North are going to be a real threat.

This result, and the Eagles win over Sturt, makes next weeks match up very interesting. Should be a cracker and can't wait.

Well done North. Despite what Dogiies fans may say about bitches, final, training blah, blah, blah, this was a very sweet victory after so many years of heartbreaks.

PS

Agree with whoever bagged the umps today. sounded like a pretty p1ss poor performance, even by RPH's standards.

Agreed with everything johntheclaret....

The umps were good.....

Frees were 31 to 15 in the roosters favour.

Roosters were first to the ball on just about every occasion......

Reward the ball player....... Always.......

'Behind' yes ... 'long way' no ...... IMO

Why are my fellow Rooster supporters paying homage to Centrals today of all days? :D

With some key players maybe available for us in the finals if injuries can hold then we'll get even closer

Agree h71. Two areas we need to improve on if we are going to perform to our potential. Consistency and Straight Kicking.

Team for Team, I think North can match it with any one in cluding Centrals. Our trouble has been consistency. We put in a great performance one week and play p1ss poor the next. To win a premiership, we have to put in solid performances every week. The last two games have shown what we are capable and but for some wayward kicking today we could have won by 10 IMHO.

We need to do 3 things consistantly to get anywhere near Centrals:

a. play 4 full quarters of football
b. win the games that we are expected to
c. finish off sides and not let them look respectable on the scoreboard

As happy as I am that we won today, one win doesn't make a season.

Come finals we will cream ur mob. North played there final against us today which was a must win considering the eagles won as well and u play them next week. We seem to be playing around with side a bit in terms of positions and also have 3 or 4 first choice players to come back.

JTC & Kingrooster

I was just stirring up the Centrals supporters

We are being WAY too polite and respectful to them tonight :D

(.... maybe it's because they have played in 7 grand finals in a row?)

Fair call Hondo, just trying not to get too far ahead. Had to work today, but snuck out into the storeroom to listen to a static filled call of the game whenever I could. Even when we were 4 goals up at 3/4 time, I just know how Centrals play and couldn't help still being very nervous.

That was sweet today. Great performance by North, obviously we still need to beat them in the finals but to get a win over them before September is great for the players (and the supporters!). Alleway = mark of the year.
