Ankle was left to see how it pulled up after some rest in the break, still playing up so a quick clean out.

Monfries a small tear in the shoulder from a training session last week cleaned up too.

Just bizarre, should of sent Dixon in for surgery 6 weeks ago and he would be back now

Ports pick 16 Todd Marshall was touted as top 3 picks in the draft done alright to score that one

needs 5 years of gym work though

Never saw anyone have him that high but was always mentioned as a top 20.
The general consensus is that he is 3-4 years away from playing league footy and is a project player but he will turn out very good

Just in time to return home. Not sure I like this one, the kid is built like a vermicelli noodle, we'll put hard yards building his physique up then when he starts to get a few games in probably 3 years there's a better than 50% chance he'll go home

LMAO at the comparison of Boak, Gray and Westhoff to Roughead, Franlkin and Lewis.

Obviously you saw this on Facebook / Twitter over the last few days, then you searched the article then you came and posted it in here. Pretty obvious troll from a site admin who I'd have thought would be trying to set higher standards. =D>

Old Jon Anderson gets paid to write about footy, like anyone with an opinion he'll get some right and get some wrong.

Lighten up Booney! :D
Some of us actually find the comparisons made back then quite funny.
Seems more than just the footy club got ahead of themselves back then! ;)

You're right, I should lighten up, I mean Dutchy can't come in the AFL board without having a crack at Port.

They are, in hindsight, pretty poor comparisons, I bet at the time most people wouldn't have argued against his thoughts though. Nothing like 20/20 hindsight to tell people they were wrong. ;)

Interesting to see which Port players mentioned in the article that have actually gone forward and improved since 2014.
Very few if any I'd say.

Port Adelaide are set to announce a new Major Partner today, joining Renault as the two major sponsors of the PAFC.

South China Airlines are the most likely, however my mail suggests it may be a more global brand looking to further develop it's ties to the Chinese market.

SNAP

I wanted to ask what the feeling was about Port's chances next season, given that for the past two years they were touted as being finals certainties and flag possibilities. Looks as though we might need to tip toe around the issue so hope the discussion doesn't upset anyone.
Seriously though, I would say Port are better placed for an assault on the finals next year, with Ryder being available and all. I reckon the absence of the media talking up their chances would do them a favour also.
Are the Port folk confident, or just quietly?
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Hey, more than happy to discuss previous or future seasons with those who are willing to discuss them rationally. Not just trolling for the sake of it.

Ryder is an extremely important inclusion for us, so too will Trengove being back in his rightful place at CHB as well as Hombsch and Jonas as the 2nd/3rd talls in the back half who both missed much of 2016. Two pretty key areas we were well and truly undermanned in last year. Quietly confident of challenging for the bottom half of the 8 as I think North will free fall and West Coast will slip a little and while Melbourne are on the improve, they're still Melbourne and I think we're better placed than Collingwood to win an extra 2-3 games and get to the 13-15 win mark.
