I believe the 12th is Zampa.

WA are 0/27 (8) early on.

WA 1/149

Looks like the Spudbacks havent learnt from their Shield Final failure.
Loading up with an all pace attack again. Heading for the same result.
What happened to the days of winning the toss and BATTING !!!!!!!!!!!

SA 2/3

Weatherald leaves a straight one. Weird, I think he stepped across and it went on to hit leg stump with him shouldering arms. Not sure he saw it...

Yeh, left it and bowled around his legs. Looked very ordinary!

Did well with ball, at 1/150 could have been game over, but took 9/120 to restrict to 271.

As usual though, we have to face some overs before stumps and we lose wickets,

Mennie is great night watchmen, always looks more solid than the actual batsmen!

That did look odd. Must have lost sight of the ball

No excuses for Jake

Having spent the best part of his junior and early senior cricket in the number one net at Darwin CC which had a huge Mahogany tree behind the bowlers arm. With the sun going down at 6:45 pm in the Dry season you get used to picking out at dark red ball coming from a dark green background.

You develop an ability to pick a ball in bad light or you cop one!!!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I'd have rather correctly predicted a Sayers blitz! 2/3 is no laughing matter.

Thankfully Mennie came in and steadied the ship.

Gameplan seems to be to try and score as much as you can while it's still light. Sensible.
