Steak was always a winner when I was up there last year too.

Agree....also don't order Barramundi in Adelaide or KGW in Darwin!
Mum ordered Barra at Primo last week. She ate about a quarter of it, and when the waitress collected and asked if there was something wrong, Mum said, "No, no....I'm just used to Barra in Darwin."
The waitress wasn't too bright and replied "I don't know what that means"
Then Mrs HH3, sensing the awkwardness, tried to make things better by saying, "Oh no, it's just fresh in Darwin"
The waitress got really defensive and I just laughed my arse off. Mum and Mrs HH3 felt really bad, but I was having a good time.

That's probably because at Primo i you spoke to the Barra in Bahasa Indonesia it would respond. A lot of teh abrra down ehre at pubs comes from the fish farms of Indonsesia.
NY barra can be dodgy at this time of the year with the end of the dry and the river levels down low they are filtering a lot of mud and shit as they swim. However at the end of the wet, fill my plate.....

Got the best table in the place. Out on the deck, beach side, just to the south of the tower. Had beach views without the noise from the Semaphore Rd lurkers.
We started with a "small" nachos to share. The serving sizes are massive, and even the small was a bit too big for entrees, even while sharing. The jalapenos had great flavours, and once the heat crept up to you, it burnt your f**kin face off. The "guac" was tasty. I usually can't stand it but actually ended up enjoying it.
For mains, I got the Enchilada Grande, which is one chicken, one beef, mashed beans and some rice. Pretty standard mexican, but it got the job done. The beans are always my favourite part.
The Mrs got a meal which included a small steak, enchilada, mashed beans, and a weird looking salad thing. The steak was cooked to the point of having no pink in the middle, but melted in your mouth like nobodies business. The best tasting steak I've sampled in a long time.
I washed mine down with a Corona, while the Mrs stuck with the standard water with lime slice (I aint made of money, bitch)
Total bill for 2 mains, 1 entree and a beer was $77.
Not too bad considering the sizes of the meals. And the setting was pretty nice. I said to the Mrs if I hadn't already done it, I would've proposed to her then and there. Got myself some browny points
