May be other reasons why they lost today as well, one Rhett Biglands scathing on MMM about the behaviour during the week of a few Eagles players, out and about and enjoying life evidently. Believe more will be heard about this

..cant begin to imagine who they would have been..

Interesting. Probably not the two lads that missed selection I'm guessing, including my mate Sam Rowland, as they both would've known they were on the edge. Sam was very well behaved at the 21st I was at last weekend.

It's not as common as other types of free kick because it happens less, but it's definitely actively policed

Coincidences with 2002 are a bit spooky
1st year coach.
Finished in third sport.
Only win against opponent came in GF
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

Hard to believe that the Eagles were minor premiers after what they dished up today. Seven goals on a dry day is appalling.

Congratulations go to Sturt.

Eagles lose the Ressies Grand Final as hot favourites, Eagles lose the league GF as hot favourite. Not a good day down at Oval Avenue.

The eagles kept the door ajar for Sturt in the first quarter. Was very happy only going into quarter time only 3 points down.
Sturts tackling and pressure was immense. They also clogged the space up well to prevent the Eagles from switching the play which they like doing.
We were bottom of the premiership odds at $51 as well.

Say what you want about Wundke but he has been the one truly good player in the two GFs.
Boyd got a lot of the ball but often didnt seem that effective with it, not sure if that is his fault or game plan, thought Rowntree and Poole and maybe Allmond tried hard but were ineffective, and not much after that. Chris Hall needs to be offered the captaincy if the twos.
With all due respect to Kirkwood, was good to see Steven get the medal and not the high profile, easy choice.

Last year was like 2011, the hunters were bulking up nicely and the rub of the green went against the hunted. Still doesn't excuse the way we played or how good west were, centrals in ithe same situation were able to get within a kick
This year, well the last 40 minutes can be considered a choke because up till then i thought both teams were in the contest. As mattner said he thought this was earlier than their planning expected.
