On the actual game, it was a great spectacle. Good on Port for throwing everything they had at the Crows. It was an interesting clash of priorities Imo. Port fighting for nothing but pride, and the Crows needing to keep winning to finish higher up the ladder. Unlike Port though, they'll still need something in the tank come September.
I love this Eddie Betts fella. Malthouse probably just didn't know how to use him at Carlton, but it's a testament to his great character, his skill as a player and the way he goes about his game that he's still respected by the Blues cohort. I don't think I've seen an individual put on so many performances worthy of the highlight real in just the one year. He's got that freak quality that cannot be countered. If he can pull those rabbits out of his hat during the finals there's be no telling how far the Crows can go.
