Figure I'm in the minority these days, but I like Robbo .. Cracked me up on 360 the other night when they had a Sportsbet Promo that always ends with "And of course gamble responsibly", and Robbo laughed and said (not verbatim) "Yeah right, spend as much as you can with us".

Reckon he calls it as he see's it, and see's it pretty well. Works perfectly next to GW who is the best in the business for mine.

I also think Maclure is fantastic. Straight shooter - no agenda. His calling on ABC radio with Whateley is very good.
I barely rate anyone on ch 7 - their coverage is shitful.

Don't mind McClure either. Very opinionated but not just in the critical sense. Gives praise when he thinks it's worth it.

I would rather people give opinions and get them wrong than people who just sit on the fence and don't say anything.

That includes kingy too. Can sound a bit silly when he gets stuff wrong, but at least he has an opinion and tries to back it up too. Would rather kingy than someone like Parkin or tony shaw who you can tell don't really pay attention anymore

I don't mind blokes calling their own sides so long as they don't try to pass themselves off as neutral and the other callers take that into account. Used to love Andrew Jarman calling Crows matches, especially if D. Jarman was trotting around. Embraced the reality and made it something entertaining.

The 5aa calls are fine imo. Obviously biased towards the crows and power but don't pretend not to be.

On TV it's a different matter because it's national coverage

Doubt they could. Reckon everyone who would listen to footy on radio is already and we've already got choices. If one style was clearly preferred the others would follow suit. Not like the TV where there is less choice.

Said on here this time LY I was a big fan of McLure, still am. He just keeps it very simple and doesn't consistently go on about key stats ect, he just has a feel for the game and I rate him. Big fan of Robbo too.

The 5AA calls do go interstate, though.
They're part of syndicated coverage. I was listening to the AA call in Mildura earlier this year.
