Brave effort by the Blue Boys today...

Having lost the main target man early and having Kruezer and Cripps injured throughout the game just heart and bravery got us through that. ..

I honestly can't remember a club in recent history that has huffed & puffed so much as Port has, yet delivered so very little...

I think the umpires thing needs to be asked re western Bulldogs three games three reviews of umpiring .
I have no idea what's wrong with Port
But huff and puff I think that was fuelled by power fans ex players whatever in the media .
Just look they were all over port preseason then a few weeks in crows got attention crows loose port wins back on port
Port and crows loose guess media will commit suicide lol

At the end of the day home teams get an umpiring advantage and theres only one team severly hampered by that and despite the odds theyve won 3 premierships this century.

Gutsy again. Hardly world beaters, but we have a crack.
Have only beaten poor sides, but 4 in a row is exactly that.
Simpson deserved that win, been a favourite of mine for a long time.

Dixon giving it to the Carlton cheer squad halfway through the last qtr turned out well.

Western Bulldogs don't need to be reviewed at all!! Should we review the free kick count from Friday night?

Bulldogs win because they are better than their opposition, not because of the umpires

I agree Jase. It gave me an opportunity to see Rowe in attack, which might be a semi permanent fixture given Casboult's long'ish term injury.

Rowe and Jones did well up forward and despite not being a focal point, Everitt did well again.

We were lucky in that Dixon and Westhoff couldn't quite hold onto marks up forward because the scoreline would've been a bit different. Our undermanned defence (given Rowe was either forward or rucking) held up well despite looking more fragile than it has for the past few weeks. For some reason they cut quite a few holes in our defence, yet couldn't get the score on the board. A few misses in close, especially one to Boak assisted greatly.

Port are a good ordinary side, so to win over there is great for us. My father in law texted me after the game to say "are Carlton a top 8 chance". I said that we're no chance in hell. We've beaten 4 good-ordinary/ordinary sides and the heavyweights of the comp are yet to come.

Kreuzer is hardly an elite ruck either.

Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley says it's foolish to describe prized recruit Paddy Ryder as the missing piece in the Power's premiership puzzle.

Without being disrespectful, the people who are saying Paddy's the missing piece are writing the stories and producing the shows," Hinkley told reporters on Thursday.

I guess the media appeal to the lowest common denominator for a reason. I guess Ken knew you would comment when he said its foolish. Fool.

Was talking about Dixon as well actually. And Ah so port actually expected to capitulate against any team that puts the slightest modicum of pressure on them. Gotcha.

Sounds like ken is trying to rewrite history there. They are still sitting surprisingly well for how they are travelling but everyone thought they would be doing better. Everyone.

So booney before you go calling people fools tell me what you expected from the power this year?
