We have the best 3 pace bowlers, should have played Andrews as the pitch is turning & bouncing all ready. Also Andrews would have given us a bit more batting also.

325 runs from 90 overs is a good result. I hope the last three batsman can stick around a little while and accrue another 50-odd.

A good days cricket. Just needed one player to get a century to really set the game up. Even contributions with the bat. Any runs are crucial as is time, so hopefully tomorrow morning we can push for 350 plus and last the first hour, then get stuck in with the ball.

Reckon we need to get into Victoria's middle order with the new ball first up. Boland's to Ross when set was a ripper

That's exactly right, our bowlers have been superb and have the potential to rip through the Vics. All these negative comments from blokes on here that we've been too aggressive and batted too quickly giving Victoria a chance to take control have been made too early IMO.

Lets just wait and see how many we end up with and how Victoria go with the bat before making an assessment on whether or not the Redbacks have gone about it in the right way.

Runs on the board is everything in a final and the pressure will be on the Victorian top order. I'm sure everyone would of taken 8/325 at the start of the day.

325 from 120 overs would have been better.

But i agree, that is a decent start for us. If we can get another 50 from here that would be amazing

Disagree. That's the way we have played all season, won the right to host the final, why change tactics. What would gave been worse is being bowled out for 200.

As TDK said runs on the board are crucial

Excellent days cricket, would of taken this score everyday of the week, as mentioned our batting prone to collapsing and 150-200 we would be done. The more the better tomorrow but happy with this start.

Hows the pitch?

I fear we dont have enough and the Vics will bat for 2 days, make 600 with one of them getting a double and then roll us for 150 with their spinners on day 4.
Just the redback cynic coming ou, hope im wrong
