Would depend on your award. Most places would be allowed to ask you to work overtime provided it is not unreasonable

I thought if you haven't completed the work that any reasonable person would expect to have completed in normal hours they can.

No idea. For half an hour probably yes, 2 hours per day probably not.

If you are on a salary, it's reasonable to expect to work whatever hours are required, within reason.

If you are on an hourly rate your contract/agreement would state your normal working hours,38 for most of us and anything outside of that simply can't be forced upon you.

Reasonable overtime

An employer can request that an employee works reasonable overtime. Overtime can be reasonable so long as the following things are taken into account:

any risk to health and safety from working the extra hours
the employee’s personal situation, including their family responsibilities
the needs of the workplace
if the employee is entitled to receive overtime payments or penalty rates for working the extra hours
if they are paid at a higher rate on the understanding that they work some overtime
if the employee was given enough notice that they may have to work overtime
if the employee has already stated they can’t ever work overtime
the usual patterns of work in the industry.
An employee can refuse to work overtime, if the request is unreasonable.

It is important that health and safety issues are considered and managed if an employee has to work overtime. A guide to help you consider the health and safety implications of an employee working long hours is available on the Safework Australia external-icon.png website.

Which soccer clubs in the north (we live in craigmore) have programs for little ones? Jnr nugget will be 3 in July and takes his soccerball to bed instead of a stuffed toy so I'm keen to foster that!

Munno Para is probably the closest to us but Eliz Vale is close and the Downs even...

My nephew played at the Downs as a youngster and from what I saw they had a very well ran junior program

@whufc

soccajoeys.com.au run great clinics for junior kids, one of the clinics is run by a former Adelaide United player. Modbury North would be your closest

I played at both The Vale and Munno Para as a kid but i reckon the kids start at under 5s...

This probably wont help much... but Modbury Vista have a development squad for 4 year olds...

My son did two tours of duty in the development squad and has palyed there since then and is now in under 13's...

Whenever we have played the Downs they have a great setup... as did Munno Para. Gawler SC was also excellent

Righto, whilst suiting up for a wedding on the weekend, other members of the party found it quite humorous watching me put belt through the pants loopholes, prior to putting them on. Seems I was the only bloke in the room to do it this way .. Anyone else set the belt up before putting their strides on?

I'm with you, JK. Belt goes through first, then pants go on. The other ways sounds too finicky.
