The Newcastle game tonight is the type we regularly drop, I guess the only good thing that could come from it would be the extra pressure on the plastics (although seriously hope it doesn't happen)

Is Skrtel the all time leader of own goals?

Its ridiculous how every team can put in such polar efforts. stoke lose to sunderland (which i predicted too) then beat Man City convincingly!

It only makes for one of the best EPL seasons for a long time. so much happening and so many potential contenders! 'Upsets' everwhere and results are never guaranteed!!!

What do the foxes have to do to be considered as legitimate title comtenders? I guess through the busy Christmas period we'll see...

WeVe had a few in recent(ish) times that have racked up the OGs. Especially Carragher and Skrtel (Hyppia had a few too IIRC).

That said I'll back Skrtel on today's effort, was doing what a defender should and was unlucky. As bad as we were I thought both teams were pretty average and it was just one of those nights where nothing went right. Benteke misses a sitter and we have a perfectly good equalizer flagged by the linesman.

Not too many top shelf matches this week with many of the top sides facing lowly opposition...

I wonder where the upsets are going to come from this week!?!

Can Chelsea bounce back from some horror league form and steal points from the high flying, table topping, jaw dropping Foxes?

Can United score goals?

How many will Swansea ship against City? They won't play like they did last week for two matches straight.

Arsenal should account for Villa and Tottenham will beat Newcastle and Liverpool should knock West Brom over although that could be a smoky...

I think the two intriguing matches are the mid table battles between Palace (6th) v Southampton (12th) and West Ham (7th) v Stoke (11th).
2 points separates 6-12 on the table and they are within touching distance of Spurs who are knocking on the door of the top 4. It really is up for grabs at the moment and these two fixtures look to be crackers.

I have a feeling Palace will get over the saints and I'm quietly confident Stokes away record will get stronger with a win over the Hammers. Wait and see i guess.

Arsenal beat Villa 2-0 to go top for the time being at least. Spurs are 1 nil up on Newcastle at half time, should be a lot more, Elliot has made some great saves.
Liverpool and West Brom 1 all at half time.

Newcastle improved in the 2nd half and score a goal to tie things up at WHL.
West Brom get a goal and now 2-1 up over Liverpool.
