Watford win 2-0.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Watched our game switching between the Rugby and it was good to see us get the win at Swansea. They normally give us a tough time and to win with Sanchez not playing well and our injury list was a top effort. What did people think of our second goal? I thought it was a good non call because Fabianski ran into Koscienly and not at any stage did Koscienly turn around and look for the keeper while he was backing back. Commentator agreed

reports this morning that Optus has won the rights for the EPL for the next 3 seasons, significantly outbidding both foxtel and BeIN

wonder what that means for the coverage - whether it will be streaming only, optus launching a rival payTV service again, or whether they will keep the streaming portion of the rights and sell the broadcast portion back to foxtel.

pretty disappointing given I am just getting into the EPL. likely means i would cancel my subscription over summer

forgot about that. would certainly make me think about signing up for the summer.

ideally they will also do some sort of game pass style online setup too, i would pay $100 a season or whatever it will be, especially if they bring out an xbox or smart tv app

But if all sports keep going like this, it will become that you need a separate subscription with a separate company for every sport (maybe even tv show) that you want to watch

Optus has won the bid for the exclusive Australian rights to the Barclays Premier League for three seasons.

The deal, including live broadcast coverage and digital rights for broadband and mobile for all 380 Premier League games, every season, commences in August 2016.

Foxtel has broadcast the EPL since 1997.

Think we are going to have to get used to, there won't be FTA sports within 10 years. I don't mind spending money if the quality is good. Already have game pass for all the US sports and would have no problem forking out a couple of hundred bucks for the EPL

I'm looking forward to it, its Foxtels fault for making people subscribe to shit channels no one wants before you can even get sport.

yep agree with this. They have become complacent and arent moving with the times.

$20 a month for like 6 channels for premium drama for instance when you can get two of netflix/presto/stan for that price if you so choose.

I too would happily pay for just the EPL and i suspect thats what will happen in 2016. especially if there is a smart-tv or xbox app, that would be awesome.
