Benton wont be available to play.

Any fast bowler picked in Futures game at Glenelg Oval against NSW starting on Monday cant play on Saturday or Sunday.

That means Benton, Opie, Valente and Neate all resting up till Monday according to those guidelines set.

Winter was coming back from Redbacks, but now staying, so maybe Putland injured, so Neate has come into team.

Not sure if this is a reflection on how bad Northerns might be or how good this bird is.....

More of the Scorpions players should play in the men's competition at times. The women's cricket is such a mixture. Even the A Grade competition has international players coming up against 13 year olds.

Some big scores in Round 1

West Torrens 300, Southerns 340 chasing down Uni's 291, TTG 298, Sturt 297, Jets chased down Port's 318.

Perhaps some better, flatter, faster pitches around now that the curators are centrally managed.

Here in lies the problem!! Pitches are prepared like roads these days and give the bowlers nothing.

When pitches have a bit of life in them, batters cant cope with it at all.

Even the Aussies struggled in England because they are so used to batting on our pitches!

I put down the big scores due to weather conditions. Reasonably dry end to winter & spring this year and this reduced the damage to squares from the footy season.

Then we have weather leading up to round 1 that was ideal for producing flat & hard wickets.

Some rough figures in the lower grades. Few bowlers with the 1/100+ next to their names....ouch.

Looks like the round 11 3rds match on Unley Oval is on the move......the AFL wouldn't allow 3 games of footy in short succession at the Parade last year so definitely not going to allow a game of cricket 24 hours before a game

Prospect look to have recruited well. Winners already over Adelaide.

Woodville steam-rolled Northerns!

Plenty of runs for Uni, Glenelg and Southerns.

TTG look to be the team to beat again though.

Gullies look like they've been set 240 off 30 overs to win outright

Woodville likely to win outright over Northerns who lost 8/29!

Staunton six-for and a hat-trick vs East Torrens. Good win for Southerns, 2-0.

Port giving Glenelg's 344 a decent shake

West Torrens lost to Uni by a truckload

Glandore possibly hosted its first ever cricket match under lights last night v the u/19s

Astounding that it was the 2nd ball of the final over before the umpires held a conversation about the poor light...

West Torrens played the SACA 19's a few weeks ago, we were literally batting in the dark from about the 5th over. Was really an amazing win as would have been so hard to bat.

19's have since beaten Glenelg and Adelaide by batting first. These 20/20 games should really start at 4.30pm, as 5.20pm is too late and unfair on team batting second.

They may sneak into semi finals now with two wins, depending on other results obviously (ET got in last year with two wins and best percentage).
