Power Reserves struggled last week without their 'trump card' in Butcher.
Will 'Eric' make an appearance on the Hill?
Certainly one would expect more people in the crowd for this game than will be left for the 'late' game.
Doggies to win by 4 goals.

Both have played far more SANFL than AFL but they shouldn't be able to play as they finished the season in the AFL

Would be very embarassing if this was firstly asked for and secondly green lit. I just don't see the benefit for Port or the need for the SANFL to allow. This is the SANFL not the amateur leagues. You either qualify or you don't.

Port did indeed seek permission for Gray to play because, according to them, it was in his best interests of his football development.
SANFL denied request.
It's taken a long time but the League has finally got something right.

Hence the change to the rule this year, so it now says that you not only have to play more SANFL than AFL across the year, you have to play at least 3 SANFL after 30 June. Butcher has played most of the year in the SANFL (because he's not very good; he'd be a regular risk of getting dropped to the reserves at most other SANFL league clubs), and most of Amon's SANFL has been in the 2nd half of the season. The existing rule could maybe be tweaked a bit, but if (like this year) the Pahhhhhr reserves were coming up to finals, and the Pahhhhhhr firsts dead in the comp, a 'you must finish the season in the SANFL' rule would just encourage dodginess.Brodlach wrote:SANFLnut wrote:Have Amon and Butcher satisfied the actual rule or was a permit required?
