They maintain their structure and they blitzed Ingle Farm clinically today.

Pfft they (Lockleys) must be a 'class above' Smithfield if they beat a middle row Ingle Farm at Home. Give me a break, At home against average opposition yep Smitty was against average opposition as well but hey let's not forget 2 games clear on top, Haven't lost a game, Yet Lockleys lost at home to Mawsons who couldn't beat time on a drum! Ohh Lockleys must be good tho they beat Farmers after being close at 1/4 time....

Your all playing for second you idiots  , Smithfield by the length of the straight. They'll play Trinity in the G/F.

 I've watched a bit of div6 this year  Smitty by the length of the straight, Trinity next best for mine. Lockleys and West Croydon over rated who ever finished 5th is wasting there time  [/b]cause your behind them 2 and they're no good.

Oh Oh! Trinity Gone!!

Having lost to the top 3 all 6 times we had played them this year by a combined 396 points, im not shocked to see us bow out in the second week of finals.. We finished 4th which is about right for where we were at this season.. the top 3 are streets ahead of the chasing pack

Tips on tonight's medal counts?

I think Michael Ashby looks the standout, but with Cook, Garner, Lane, Nisbet and Stewart also listed in the 'Top 20' perhaps too many votes stolen off him?

Apart from Ashby I rate Sumner, Wiles and Stormonth as genuine chances.

In the reserves interestingly a lot of the names listed in the Top 20 have only played a handful of games, half or 2/3 of the season.. which makes me lean towards Kurtis Smith (Brahma), although would expect Dawson and Nelson to also figure well.

Ward Williams should poll well, but Mawson Lakes didn't win enough games, and I would back Joel Calyun (Smithfield) to also poll well but not sure he played enough games - perhaps Sam Shaw (Smithfield) the dark horse?

i would suspect that ashby wins it but as you say he may lose votes to his team mates with 6 in the top 20.. the winner will come from the 3 top teams and a high probability that the winner comes from SFC or LFC with them winning 4-5 more games than WCFC..no idea in the ressies..

Ashby is pretty mouthy though isn't he?
Sumner is quite capable of getting majority of our votes if the B&F isn't anything to go by.
In the Ressies Ascoli from Lockleys is the one that stands out both times we played them, but could easily be very open if everyone else is like us and used 60 odd players.

Lock him in for 6 votes v Trinity.. Easily the stand out both games we played.. He would be the only chance outside the top 2 sides..

Ressies, I have a feeling the winner comes from Brahma, always hard to pick though with the high turn over of players in each side

Anyway back to the medal count...

I'm surprised both Ascoli (Lock) and Dimuccio (TOS) aren't in the Top 20 - two of the better players I've seen this season..

Also interesting to see how these guys in the Top 20 go in their club B&F count - I would be surprised if any of the Ingle Farm nominees won the B&F in their respective grade.

He is, and seemed very determined to get under the umpires noses late in games.
Definitely a good footballer and certainly doesn't look like too many others. Personally I thought Garner and the guy off half back probably deserved the votes in both our games v Smithfield. But he certainly put in the harder yards to be noticed! Was particularly funny when the instruction came out to change out of the guts in the last game against us, and it was declined.

Yes, Michael Lane off the HBF was very good v Ingle Farm both times, but Matt Stewart absolutely dominated Rd 18 v Ingle Farm, should collect the 3 votes from Ashby, and Garner the 1.

Agreed on Ascoli, he played well against us in the last game.. Dimuccio would've missed too many games to feature I would think..
