Moppy played a blinder today

IMHO, Lockleys lost it in the 1st 1/4, 0-6 to 5-?, it was always going to be tough to come back from that, their 2nd & 3rd quarters were outstanding, a team stacked full of C graders was always going tio struggle to keep up the 2nd/3rd 1/4 momentum

Best win I've been involved in as an Aussie Rules coach.

Hats off to Lockleys - they're a class bunch of footballers but better blokes, gracious in a tough defeat and always a very tough opponent - I hope they move to D5 because they're too good a club overall to be stuck in this grade.

Congrats Zarts.

I find it insulting to my side and disrespectful to the Lockleys B grade that you feel the need to undermine the match by saying "a team stacked full of C graders".

Whether or not this is true, a lot of the blokes yesterday have played regularly B grade football this year and some have played a bit of A grade, and I have no doubt that was the strongest B grade Lockleys could have picked from who was available yesterday.

You don't think every other side has players missing?

He played HFF in the 1st half and was hard to stop until I sent a bloke onto him who shut him down before hurting his knee, then after half time went into the guts and I just couldn't find anyone suitable to match up with him, and he ran wild - ended up going with a 16yo kid in the last who took a couple of crucial contested marks but that was bit fortunate, he was unstoppable.

If he's been playing B grade like that all year, may well be a smokey for the D6R medal

Stacked with C graders is an oxymoron. You can't stack with a lower grade

I don't think it was meant to come across the way it did to be fair to Ian. Probably just poorly worded.

i think your right wristy..no disrespect was intended from ian..

congrats to zartan and his lads..good game to watch and was of a very decent standard..zartan is a very meticulous coach and gets every bit he can out of his players..they will be a good chance to win again this week i reckon..

A grade game was a cracker..dallas and his boys made a late rush at us kicking 4 goals in the last 6 minutes and nearly snatched it..it was an excellent spectacle with a very large crowd watching on and i think it will benefit both teams having the tough hit out after some easy wins in the minor round..onward to panther park now..

Sorry Zartan, that wasn't my intention, the Dees have had a shocking run with injuries (I'm sure others have as well) the blokes that have come up from the C's gave it a real crack and it was a toughly fought game the whole way through. Lockleys had picked their best available for each grade, a couple of others I was with even mentioned they were lucky to be able to still pick a full squad for the Cs. Your guys looked done a couple of time and to their credit dug deep and never gave in, at 3/4 time I didn't give you much of a chance (sure did about 3 min into the last though)

Beating Trinity by 7 goals in a 2nd semi and seeing that idiots face after the game after he was mouthing off all year when we lost to them in the minor rounds to this day is one of the most satisfying experiences I've had in football.

Serious question. If this guy is such a cheat has someone notified Amateur league and had a rep sent out. Seems like a simple solution.

I will never forget the day we played at Trinity and their umpire gave 5 free kicks in a row before the ball up (after a goal was scored) for people talking and even began paying them for spectators yelling out. The last one being for "can we please get a ball up". I tend to make a rule of not abusing umpires and not bagging them on here but that was like nothing I have ever seen and hopefully ever see again. For the record it was in 2012 and I don't believe this guy umpires anymore.

Its pretty disappointing that the effort of the Trinity lads to come from 33 points down in the last qtr after conceding the first 2 goals, with no bench at all after half time, blokes playing in makeshift spots to plug gaps, has again been over shadowed by controversy. The fact that the 'incident' was a contentious goal decision, which happened to be the first goal of the game suggests to me that im not sure it can be solely to blame for the result.. im in no way defending the incident, to be honest it reflects poorly on our club that incidents like this happen weekly, but to blame it on Fitzroy giving ip a 33 point lead 90 minutes later is a bit rich imo.. Losing 4 blokes to serious injuries wont help next week but the confidence and spirit gained and shown by the boys cant be under estimated..

In the early game, real proud of my boys to get over the top of a side that had the wood over us this season thus far.. Our tackling pressure was sensational and our run eventually wore them down. Both sides were spent by the end of the game and limp into next week, but thats what finals footy is so I look forward to the Smithfield game this week..

It's not just his umpiring Wristy, the bloke is going to start a riot one day with his mouth.

Well that's a completely different story. Pretty dangerous around finals time when clubs seasons are on the line to have an official gobbling off at spectators. I actually don't know the person in question is to be fair to him. West Croydon next Saturday may not be the place for antics of this nature and it may not end well if it persists.
