Umpire's call means it's not out - although it was close.

Got him, Ballance out CB for a duck, Hazelwood getting the extra bounce.

Made a terrible blunder by not blooding Nevill in the Windies.
They wont make the change though, read an article this morning where it basically inferred the selectors are worried about Clarke's back and if he goes down they need Haddin's experience to help Smith

rogers (and watson if he doesnt get dropped) would provide plenty of experience should clarke not play

Still think Watsons bowling gets him over the line in such a crucial series

Haddin is cooked, one thing with Boof though is I reckon he will give the old blokes alot of time like he didn't have

Boof didn't have a lot of time at the start of his career - those are the blokes I'd hope to see him backing due to his career.

But his batting has been a liability! Will continue to be an easy wicket for England.

But thats where the problem is, Watsons was clipping leg by 1mm but it stayed with the umps call. Id rather they get rid of the umps call crap, if its out its out, shouldnt revert back to umps call.
In that case both would of been out today

Couldn't agree more. Either have the review system and use it properly, or don't bother.

The way it is, they're protecting the umpires confidence factor rather than giving dismissals out when they're out, or vice versa.

take tennis for example. apparently the margin for error is around 3mm which is basically the fluff on the ball, but hawkeye will rule something in or out by 1mm if need be and everyone just accepts it and moves on

Umm isnt the idea of the review system to get rid of the "howlers", umpires calls are not howlers. Its just the rub of the green how it goes, this match has gone with England.
Tests wouldnt last 2 days if everything nicking the stumps was given out

At the very least then if it is umpires call you shouldn't lose a review. If the umpire isn't "wrong" then the player shouldn't be either

Over 42.4 Starc to Stokes on 5. PLUMB LBW but Smith the only player to appeal.
Given Not Out. Aussies dont even consider using a review.
Was shown to be PLUMB and would have been given OUT if reviewed.
Mark Taylor in DISBELIEF for the next 10 minutes that no one was interested in appealing.
