Huge game Friday night with many exciting prospects. Heading there with my Best man and Groomsmen who both are mad passionate Cats lovers and the wife in tow who will perform the role of Des driver like the champion she is :D

Predictions ;
Port by 23 points
Crowd ; 51,023
$ spent on beer between the 3 of us ; $300
Beer spilt ; 180ml
The amount Selwood ducks, rolls and leads with the head ; 14
Hot dogs ; 2
Stupid bets between each other ; 6
BOG ; Robbie Gray
Leading goal scorer ; Schultz 4

Should be a cracker. Last night game I went to was v Hawks and we were unstoppable in the first quarter. I'd like to sincerely thank the likes of Carlton, Essendon, St.Kilda and Collingwood for allowing us a decent time slot. Let's make the most of it.

One change for this weeks game:

Sammy "muffins" Colquhoun replaces Karl Amon, who has been withdrawn with calf soreness.

Sam's last game was the 2013 Semi Final, coincidentally against the cats.

Well I for one could not be more thrilled with this inclusion. I've always had a big soft spot for Sammy Colquhoun, can't wait to see him back in action :D

Gorringe, the Dan Gorringe who had a social media meltdown over Port selecting Ryder in last years trade period?

The Dan Gorringe who couldn't feature in a Suns side with 35 injuries?

I'll pass haha!

Maybe these players need to stop reading the f**king paper how good they 'were' and 'they're going to win it' and get back to the shit that got us to be pushing finals in the first place!

IMO 2015 is done and dusted in premiership terms, We simply can't win it.

Being at the game with Cats supporters made it a frustrating night but the fact is they were too good on the night and shit happens.

It was an excellent game for the first 3/4 and they came to play. It's pretty easy to judge from in the stands but we got smashed in Ruck around the ground, Enright was given to much space, Schultz had a stinker as did most of the fwd line and we seem to have lost our slingshot ability.

Also personally if Aaron "The Man bun " Young wants to be an AFL player he needs to stick tackles, not try and break them every time and cut your bloody hair. He didn't look up with the pace of the game but wasn't alone. Stewart was also just awful.

Saddest part for me was the genuine realisation that I won't be watching my team winning a flag this year as there was still a small part of me thinking we could get on a run and give it a shake but alas it is not to be.

What I noticed a lot tonight was Port players pleading and arguing for free kicks. Last year, they didn't worry about it, shrugged it off and got ready for the next contest. Might show where they are at mentally this year.

Thought your Gorringe comment was strange and comical but I reckon this post is spot on. Than sense of entitlement doesn't make for good tough uncompromising team football. Gus would be one of the worst for it. Im Not big on umpiring criticism at any level but I thought they were OK and certainly not the reason we got done.

That's what happens when ur captain won't shut his mouth and get on and play footy.

In 2013 Port caught a lot of teams out and went under the radar for a bit. Is it fair to say they are playing to a similar standard to 2013 however most teams are ready for it? The only reason I suggest this is they still have a couple decent scalps this year however and during most games look good in stages but just can't keep it up consistently.

Go back to last year they were excellent with their consistency apart from a small patch (however were good enough to respond). Did Phil Walsh add that polish to their structures?

I'm not trying to be a smart arse as we ain't travelling too crash hot either currently.

The umpires didn't cost us the game at all we had our chances and blew it. The cats did get away with a lot. Holding players while that took off for a lead, blocked players from marking contest, a few holding the ball decisions, the stevie J slap to hartlett. Between the 3 umpires they were inconsistent which is annoying to watch a free payed at one end and not the other.

Not at all. Our work rate is second to none at times. We will have the ball only defensive 50 and no one is leading or making space for the kick. If coaches couldn't workout what we were doing in 5mins then they shouldn't be coaching AFL footy.
