Foxsports running a story that Bryce Gibbs dropped a hint that this will be Mick's last game in charge.

This could be a very meritorious occasion on Friday night for our grand football club.

i actually rate Mick, not saying he doesn't deserve some flack. But there is only so much you can polish a turd...

I think he just means they wanna get him the win for his milestone. He just doesn't know how to articulate it properly, or has no understanding of what "sending him off" would mean to most people.

Agreed. You can see him hesitate which looks a bit like he knows that it's not 100% the right phrase but he can't think of anything better on the spur of the moment.

Carey was the same guy who said Carlton should re-sign him last week. He's either flipping and flopping like bunny's ears to stay in the media spotlight (highly likely) or he does know something.

Carey did go on to say that he hopes Mick keeps coaching for the next 5 years, but seemed reasonably confident of his mail.

It seems like he's just saying both things, so either way he can flash that shit eating grin and say he was right.

Perhaps Carey overheard something while he was lurking in the toilets down at Carlton
