Current lines of betting

Aussies $3.50
Saffers $4.50
India $5.50
Kiwis $7.50
Lankans $10
England $11
Pakis $13
Windies $15
Others - don't matter

In my opinion there are only 3 teams that are a genuine chance to win us, Saffers and my dark horse NZ who I rate a huge chance.

Who's your tip?

1st post on this topic right on the money. Got the top 3 right.

I'm tipping Australia on Sunday in a game that I don't expect to be anywhere near as close as their last contest.

Stoked we are in the final, to be honest I wouldn't be too fussed if New Zealand beat us. They have been awesome and win for them would be huge.

India must be wondering if their request for temporary residency with a work Visa was a good thing. I seem to remember back in 2012 when they arrived for this tour they thought that getting accustomed to the conditions would see them in a position to challenge Australia in the World cup.

How wrong they were.

Meanwhile the ICC have been very clever. This weekends final leads straight into the pool matches of the next World Cup!

Like some earlier posters, I doubt McCullum will be the key player in the final. He may get 25 off 15 balls, but doubt it will be quick 50+.
Williamson will be the key wicket. If he gets a ton and Guptill, Taylor and Elliot contribute with 30-40's and a Vettori cameo, and they get 280-300 batting first, this will be their best chance IMO.

That chase by Dhoni was shocking and really strange.

Anyone watch his press conference afterwards? Said Dhawan dismissal was soft and played a lot of the blame on him and then MN mentioned how he was the master of chases and how he left it very very late and Dhoni just shrugged and said nah they got too many and wouldn't be able to do it with their tail. He pretty much said he gave up which was pretty evident by the way he batted and how he got run out.

Pathetic

Thought Clarke's captaincy last night when under the pump after 15 was exceptional.

At least that part of his game was. I nodded off when him and Watto were batting in the mid 40 overs. They'd wanna address that.

Agreed, he turned the screws when they were 4/fa by pushing Hazelwood through an over or perhaps 2 that he wouldn't normally have bowled and gave Starc and Johnson a couple each at the other end.

He kept Watson, Maxwell and Faulker out of the attack for only 5 or 6 overs but it was the timing of the overs that was critical. Adding a short leg and a slip at a crucial time also put the batsmen under more pressure.

I was thinking the exact same thing ( re Clarke ) when Starc came back into the attack.
