Crowds, revenue and interest in the comp rises at least 20%.
You're welcome SANFL.
Even better, piss off the Crows and Power, 21 rounds, play each team 3 times.

This is what should happen, Port people on Facebook and Adelaide Now seem to think they are being held back by playing in the SANFL and want to leave and play in the VFL anyway. Hopefully sooner then later but that would require the SANFL to have some balls and actually stand up to them in regards to teams they field in our league and the funds from Adelaide Oval. [-o<

When you say "Port people", you should have an *, as these "people" are either trolling ( and really, FB and Adelaide Now isn't the home of intelligent debate in the main ) or just stupid.

I don't want to see it happen ( Port go to the VFL ) and I don't see it happening. How could we possible afford it?

You can find the cash for your Dubai junkets, flights to Melbourne should be a drop in the ocean in comparison. Tiger has them for $49 or they have real good specials on train/bus fares.
With the new AO agreement you should be swimming in money down there

Other than this being off topic and the Port Adelaide players funding their own flights to Dubai ( for the second year running ) it's an excellent post, Jim.

Did they pay for their accommodation, or sleep on the streets?

Apparently they were the guest of a Sheikh, 'His Majesty'. Something to do with Darren Burgess' previous involvement with Liverpool I think. It didn't get a lot of press (I can't find a solid link of than this http://www.portadelaidefc.com.au/news/2 ... ubai-day-8) but I remember hearing that a huge chunk of the cost of accommodation and the use of the facilities was taken care of by this bloke.

After googling "Bye", I think its an appropriate enough word for the discussion.

Well there's no 'Byes' in the U18s Program

They've got a week off to play for the U18s & League State Game v WA on Sat May 23, and a split round on June 13/20.

So if you're looking for something to do during the League team's Bye Weeks ..... support your U18s

Now we all know where Robert Allenby came up with his inspirational late night Hawaiian fantasy tale, meant to extract the same level of sympathy from the public, just like the Port Flowers millionaire lifestyle on workmen wages and conditions!
