If he's made skipper then its because he's a leader. Media will rip him apart but the fact (is it fact?!?) he's being considered means he must be in high regard at the club.

@TitusOReily: Adelaide announces Patrick Dangerfield will not be captain because he's leaving at the end of the year. I may be paraphrasing.

Those in the know will tell you coming back from a knee re-con is a 2 year process, His 'back to his best year' would've been this year, And now they dump Captaincy of the second most frustrating team in the AFL behind Richmond?? Stupidity
Hey just my thoughts.....

I'm a fan of Tex and I reckon he can become a better player as the captain of Adelaide, he's a matchwinner and the type of footballer that will take the game by the scruff of the neck and lead from the front, the players would love playing with him and will really get behind as the new skipper.

Brown was a 3 time premiership player & pretty much established champion when he was eventually made skipper.

I think it will help him too with the second efforts. Sometimes he doesn't put as much effort in with second efforts as he should and maybe knowing he's the captain and needs to set the best possible example might spur him on a bit.
