Great stories, KP seems pretty arrogant on the ground but I always thought he would be one of those guys who could sit down and have a beer with a regular guy.

Certainly was. Genuine funny guy as well, you know how you get blokes who try to be funny but are just dicks, Beefy is just a genuine funny guy and loves a beer!

Yeah went to the Ian Botham luncheon at Centrals last year the day before Ashes test at AO (then did all 5 days at the test)

Was great value and had some great stories

Unfortunately he had to leave straight after his talk due to media commitments but the time he gave was brilliant

Hates Dave Warner though lol

And one of the Chappels I think, I remember him hating someone but I couldn't remember who. He did say he'd still have a beer with them tho. Funny bloke. Even he looked very fit at the time.

Yeah reckon it was Ian Chappell and he said they still refuse to speak to this day even when they bump into each other through media commitments

Can't remember why they hate each other though

Still a bit hard to cheer on Hodge!

I find it hard to cheer a team representing South Australia wearing blue.....

Supposedly during a Shield game at an Adelaide pub (Chappell playing for SA, Botham for QLD) Chappell was mouthing off at him so Botham decked him so Chappell refused to speak to him again.

Only a few years ago during an Ashes test here they bumped into each other out the back and Chappell challenged him to a fight and supposedly Botham was just laughing at him and Chappell got pulled away.

I like seeing the Strikers do well but I don't have the same emotional connection that I do with the Redbacks

Perfectly reasonable I think, they've only been around 5 minutes plus it's T20 cricket.
