Crows 2014

Talk on the national game

With Voss, Sanderson, Watters, Primus, Ratten all getting sacked recently, all relatively young it seems that clubs are now going to the older more experienced operators in the AFL system. The "just out of the game" theory seems to have gone.

I agree your list is not that bad, at least comparable to Essendon or Richmond who both played finals. Thats why Sando didn't last, he had the cattle.

Yep for sure, the older blokes who have been in strategy/tactical roles are getting the gigs.

Yep had the cattle to atleast be competative, in many games we should have..... We werent. Im happy the club made the call rather than go through the motions for another year.

Clearly the Kangaroos are made of sturdier stuff than the swamp dwellers at West Lakes.

Keith Thomas - "As a club we can be proud that another one of our people is admired so much that they’ve been recruited by a competitor"

Didn't say that when Primus went to Gold Coast :)

Come and found him? They could probably already see him at Alberton from up in their ivory tower at West Lakes.

Footy Smart I would agree your squad is not that bas. But as I have said before you do have some holes. The general bones are good but some areas need attention.

Basically second key tall. A good medium sized locked down defender, Brown was used in this roll and struggled. And some good quality outside running players with skill.

I think the crows inside grunt players are good but if you tend to get killed on the outside.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

i think jenkins is definitely developing nicely as the second tall.

big areas in need of improvement are another key back now that rutten is gone, and another ruckman, to go with the outside run.

giles (or gorringe) should be a priority imo.
