Odd that it's not specifically mentioned on the SANFL grand final info pages nor SACA website. For those who have paid this years subs but not received cards, do we take the receipt? Can anyone find an official statement re: free entry?

See the bolded part above

Thanks Suri, I did read it - which lead me to ask:
1. What if I don't have the card but have paid the membership
2. Where is it officially stated, other than your post - wadr.

stroll to the pub before the match

then back to the pub for a few more bevvies before stumbling home!

The proximity to my residence would have simply been a bonus ;)
I would have preferred The Parade, to the Bay, from a selfish point of view, yes...

Myself and John Nankivell are commentating the game for the SANFL Live Stream and having called night footy at both The Bay and The Parade, I know which one I prefer :)

Not so bad if it was a League game, because I am comfortable with my player ID for all League clubs, but they will be Under 18's kids that I wouldn't have seen all too much of.

Being perched directly above the action on centre wing at The Parade would have made recognition of some unknown faces a little easier than it will be at The Bay, particularly at night.

At least the Under 18's have numbers on the front of their jumper. That will assist.

Will they turn the lights on for this game?

Apparently, I just called SACA to find out myself

Its been stated in umpteen emails as well as by myself several times on safooty. Geezus, do the SACA need to send smoke signals to some of their members?

I'll bite.
I've been over the last dozen SACA e-mails dating back to June with no mention except the $150 invitation to the Gil Langley room. Nothing about free entry. Smoke signals??, no thanks, but I'll need something better at the ticket box than your posts to get me in.

To answer my own questions with a call to SACA this morning, for information to others.
You have to use last years card to get entry as the new cards have not been issued. You can't get in with the receipt. Apparently when they sscan your card, they can tell if your renewal has been paid.

What if you're a new SACA member for 2014-2015 and have already paid? You won't have an existing member's card.

Calm ya farm Wedgie
The SACA emails only talk about luncheons, the Adelaide Oval emails only mention footy members.

I think this is 1st year ... probably an issue with Adelaide Oval availability ... was not an issue going an extra week at AAMI

Not a farm. Different emails must be going to different members then, I've received several telling me and as I said before I've passed the info on hereseveral times too.

Daniel's article is spot on.

Well done.
