Bumps like that used to happen at training back in the day (albeit from slightly less fit and athletic teammates)

The distance from the play is irrelevant as proved by the charges - if you chose to read them.
Harvey didn't do anything different to your 2 protected species earlier in the season - he just wore a different guernsey.

I never said Harvey should get games... The ball was actually in th vacinity of play when the two you mention happened...
And I've never said what those 2 decisions were right either.

Very dumb by Harvey and lucky too.

From a report on AFL.com

"..Represented by Will Houghton QC, Harvey told the Tribunal he laid a block on Selwood because the team had been focused on stopping the star Cat from receiving follow-up possessions after he had disposed of the ball..."

For which he needed to jump in the air to collect him??

Harvey thought Selwood was going to get the handball receive back?

Can't have been paying attention for nearly 400 games or doesn't read the game very well. ;)

I agree, what the hell was Swallow doing?

I have no issue with what Harvey did, other than it was stretching the distance from the ball. He wanted to stop Selwood running further forward. If he just stood infront of him it would have looked soft.

Bloody hell, how is a bloke supposed to impose himself physically on the game anymore?

After watching that vision I would be giving Swallow two weeks for a pi$$ poor attempt at striking

I have no issue with jumping in the air. If you are going to bump someone running at you, you need to jump at them or you will be the one being cleaned up.

It is not like Harvey split him open with a blind shirt front.

Maybe Selwood should wear a helmet to stop his head from bleeding if he is worried about how much time he spends off of the field being patched up. The only reason this went to the MRP is because Selwood got the blood rule.

No Blood = no suspension

Anybody that is after, or knows of somebody that is after tickets for Hawthorn v Port- please PM me. I have a mate looking to offload 2 tix in section M53 for $155 each- he can no longer attend due to unforeseen circumstances.

Cheers.

The Advertiser is printing and selling these shirts.

Is it just me, or is this going too far for a team making a prelim?

good luck to them, I don't see an issue with it, gee I still remember certain shirts that were printed in the 90s that were far worse!
