Duromine Depedent's unbeaten run has continued to an eleventh straight match as they smashed Crawf by 400 points to go two games clear at the top of the ladder. It's catch me if you can for the Dependable ones after The Willies drooped to a second loss for the year with a limp effort against the hairy Hobbitts who have claimed another big scalp to move into the top four.

As written about above Daisy's Duds have deservedly snuck into the top eight on the back of six straight victories. The latest in the series was a narrow in over ZedForce and a look at the ladder will show just how vital that win was for daisy. I still think there is a top eight spot for Zed but at whose expense it remains to be seen. I'm thinking the FNQ Trotters are the most vulnerable of the teams currently in the eight.

Another team who is capable of throwing a spanner into the works for Zedman is Scros Swimmers who are coming even further back than Daisy did. The Swimmers have had more than a few unlucky losses but have turned around their form in time to have a real crack at the flag. Grasshopper is two games out of the eight though so he will be relying on others to do his dirty work and hope that he can keep on winning.

In the relegation zone, Nutkickers enjoyed a rare win at the expense of onegameatatimers who simply do not resemble the team that was good enough to challenge the likes of eddieslittleindians and Ben Rolfsbergers. Nutkickers are back with a chance of avoiding the drop although they do trail Hollands by one win and percentage. There has been a slip of the Tongue of Fury and now they are in the shit but with four wins they might have enough early runs on the board to avoid the drop. The elephants can do anything but I reckon they are a monty to drop back to Divvy V.

The King is dead, long live the King! The hairy Hobbits are proving to be unstoppable at the moment. Leading scorer in the Hogg? NEXT! Second on the ladder in career best form? NEXT! And now the Hobbits are declaring 'Return of the King' after knocking off the previously unbeaten ladder leaders Duromine Dependent NEXT! A few weeks ago the Hobbits were looking like the vulnerable team in the top eight but instead of being knocked out of the eight they have claimed three top scalps to emerge as a genuine premiership contender.

This league has ranked as well as Hogg Division II and the reason for that is that there are eleven very good sides trying to fit in eight spots. In recent weeks Crawf has lost his way but there are ten other sides that deserve to be playing finals this season and two of them will miss out. Scros Swimmers have climbed back into contention and could yet be counting the cost for their slow start to the season but high scoring Zed needs to find a way to get over the line or he could be Hogg Elite but remain in Division IV next season.

The relegation battle didn't change much even though Moe recorded just his second win for the season. Crack Foxes with their five wins look reasonably safe but so far Tongue of Fury and Holland's Hero's aren't really doing enough to keep the bottom four at bay. Moe's win against winless Foxy means that the Sox will be going down, I can't see them winning three or four matches in the last five to dodge the drop. Holland's and Fury need to win only one or two more to put the bottom four away but there is still some hope for Nutkickers, wonderelephants and onegameatatimers.

I reckon you're really 2 games out mate, cant see Adelaide Crows missing out. He is the best scorer in our league and must have an easy draw considering he has lost so many games at this point.
I have an easy draw as well so think you have to look at displacing one of the top 6, a couple of them have hard draws. The Willies, Wigg Bro and FNQ have the toughest if i recall correctly

Interesting post Daisy. I reckon hairy Hobbits will beat DA HEAT and yourself. He's just knocked off the Crows, Dependent and the The Willies in the last three weeks.

Yeah there is every chance of that happening. I reckon all the games with projections under 100 difference can go either way. For games with bigger difference than that alot out of the ordinary has to happen.

Zed Force about the only one that will definitely win all 5

Also having a look at the Hobbits team, there is alot of holes in it, I reckon he has got real lucky over the last 3 weeks and there is no way he will beat either of us

In this league the top four go up to Hogg Division III. That is decided in the finals. You have to qualify for a Preliminary Final to be promoted. For relegation it is the bottom four teams at the end of the minor round who get relegated to Hogg Division V.

There isn't much difference in the standard between III and IV, but there is a massive drop in standard to Division V, which is a real cripple fight.

Too trade or not to trade this wk? That is the question ;) with Bontempelli and Impey both with very low breakevens hopefully they both play and score well and just holding the trigger for another wk could potentially make me some more money and with my target player having a breakeven of 140 odd, with a bit of luck he will have a stinker also, which will result in a decent drop in $$$
