Couldn't that argument be made for any OS side?

But in reality it doesnt (hasn't in 3 years) happened. I'm sure it will come up, but really its very insignificant.

And in any case, this situation only arises to a club with strong recruiting base, which tends not to have issues with points, so it wouldnt even matter!

See my edit, my point is the kid who comes back to PACOC after being out at Norwood and playing juniors at Walkerville at least has never played against PAC.

I think the distinction is significant (but admit that it's subjective).

That there is the problem. There would be a number of players who would play for a club and also for the school. If they shift to an Old Scholars team the first year out of high school then fine, they have done nothing to accrue points.

However a player may continue on at the club instead (in your example Walkerville) until they are 22-23 and an established A-Grade footballer. Why is that player able to be recruited as a 0 point player for Blackfriars (or any other)? They have never played for that club and have no connection to that club other than a very loose connection to a high school he attended 5 years ago (as explained so well by wassprinttospace above).

My club cannot claim a player as zero points just because he attended Christies Beach High School 5 years ago yet has played all his footy elsewhere just because we have a similar name.

Face it, the Old Scholars Bloc are being given a free kick, to the expense of the hard working district clubs.

My god your right.... hundreds must be slipping through the cracks....its all so unfair........

He was also giving a week by the club, as Central United have implemented some very tough rules for this season and moving forward as a club.

2 weeks for using the F word seems very harsh, but in the situation the club is in I applaud them. It's easy to internally suspend a bloke who's no good but when it's your best player who is basically the guinea pig for the new rules so to speak that is a hard decision to make. But the units have made the tough call and stick by it and in my opinion will be better for it in the long run.

Contrary to what absolute tripe is writing and spoken about Woodward on here he is now officially sitting on 6 games. Three times up, for 2 games, 3 games and now 1 game. The other one was found to be not guilty.

These are the facts I'm sure the spineless blokes who hide behind user names like Bar20 will comment on this.

I genuinely believe there are 4 games that could go either way this week. Great for the comp after a lot of one sided contests thus far.

Lakes v West Croydon, Blackfriars v Rosewater and CUFC v Fitzroy all shape as crackers and Angle Vale at home are much better than away kicked about 16 goals at home against West Croydon and with Lockleys just the 1 win should be a good game.

Could be some interesting results come 5pm Saturday

And as we all know wet weather is a great leveller, we've had 3 magnificent days for footy in the first 3 rounds so now it's time to see who is prepared to get down and get dirty. ;)
