Not sure about that, the EPL is pretty high up there.

The fact three or four clubs are the only one's with a chance of winning the title ( whilst having dominated for decades now ) while teams lie stagnant in the middle of the competition as sides not worthy of competing with the aforementioned big 4 drop down and pop up from year to year leaves me thinking the EPL is as big a farce as any world sporting competition.

Really man city and chelsea have dominated for decades now mmmmm

Do we not see the same thing in the AFL Richmond, St.Kilda, Melbourne, Western Bulldogs anyone, while they have gone close they haven't won anything in how many years.

At least in the EPL it's simple and fair to all, you get the money, you make the money you can spend the money, unlike a league which manipulates ever aspect to get the desired result they want.

The AFL is on par with the WWE

]A major criticism of the Premier League in the mid-2000s was the emergence of the so-called "Big Four" clubs: Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.[76][77] With the exception of Blackburn Rovers in 1994–95 and Manchester City in 2011–12, only three clubs have won the Premier League title – Manchester United (13 titles), Arsenal and Chelsea (three titles each).

Seems like it's three or four clubs who win the title.

Thankyou.

Man united deserve all the success they got through a brilliant youth system in the early ninetities and then their ability to market and become the first super club and expand into Asia.

Also you will find with only 6 games to go there are only about 3 teams which aren't playing for anything taking into account Europe, relegation.

Unlike the AFL where by round 5 we will have already dropped 1-3 sides meaning dead rubbers in the first quarter of the year, exciting stuff, we could almost say the Melbourne saint kilda round one game was a dead rubber as neither will make the finals and will be playing to avoid a make believe prize (wooden spoon) within a month

Like I said I prefer a comp where every club has the same fixtures, rules and regulations rather than an artificial comp which closer represents how the WWE is run rather than a true test of who is the greatest run club.

Lucky we can all have an opinion and will probably never agree.

I guess i can also take it you had no interest in the SANFL since the 80's with dominance of port in the 90's and Centrals in the 00's

If the bottom teams are playing for something in the epl, then they are in the AFL also.

Then you have teams playing for a finals berth, double chance, home finals.

P. S. Everyone can have an opinion, but we can still argue how close to the truth it is.

What are the bottom teans playing for in the AFL, a make belive prize, relegation is real, infact in the AFL late in seasons they are losing on purpose!!!!!!

Throw in any team in the country can make the biggest league and it gives you new and different style of teams to the comp each year is exciting.

You are lucky you haven't been through the stress of your footy team trying to avoid the wooden spoon for the last half of a season.

The old days of Centrals being rubbish I was never to fussed about winning a make believe prize which doesn't affect next season in the slightest.

Admittedly I was only young then

I quite liked those 1980s guernseys, with the two stripes on the side. I'm not a big fan of their guernsey now.
