Clem averaged 62.66 against South Africa in Tests, and this will be a fitting tribute to a legend.

Also heard that all players in tonight BBL final will receive a Baggy Green to honour the greats that have played test cricket for Australia. Seems legit.

Funnily enough, both injured, and Marsh 'recovers' to be 11on the plane to replace Watto who has been ruled out for the first Test

And they can't wait to get that attractive batsman who doesn't make runs- Marsh- back in there. Hope he doesn't trip over and break a leg disembarking from the plane.

We still have 3 days till the first Test
Enough time for Marsh to get injured
Drifter on the ball, first things first , will he damage a leg getting off the plane ?
Then he has to get through a practice session
Then he has to get through the warm up , if selected in the First Test

Squids
Johno

This is what happens when Watson is out of the team
There is simply are no adequate replacements
All of a sudden his 40+ ave batting top 3 , and his bowling was not that bad

I guess if Marsh or Doolan can average 50+ this Test then Watson is covered

I tend to agree if you cant replace you all rounder adequately than don't bother.

I would like to see Phil Hughes to 3 and Alex Doolan to 6.

Then try and get those 8-13 overs and innings Watson would bowl from hopefully Lyon bowling well and pushing a few more out. A couple extra from the workhorse Siddle and maybe Smith, Clarke and Warner chipping in a with an over here and there.

With Marsh now added to the squad I wouldn't be surprised if Hughes is sent home after the first test. Would be great for South Australia

Does Henriques play & bat 7 or go with just the four bowlers & Marsh slides in @ 6??

Id lean towards the 4 bowlers option, we need batting depth against this quality attack.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Yep, but enriques doesn't, he only allows our strike bowlers to be more effective. So the real question is can Lyon bowl enough overs as the stock bowler without leaking runs? Because if he can I think we will be fine with four bowlers. I would think the saffers would look to target him if we only have four bowlers.

Will be interesting to see which way they go.

Henriques will play IMO.
Boof has always loved the allrounders. Can see Doolan and Henriques being the two inclusions

I think we will be competative, dont think we will win the series though!

The biggest test will be us playing attacking cricket against them. Sides fear their attack and often are dismissed trying to defend the swinging ball. Hope we take them on!
