I have heard a strong rumour that Pnu have recruited at least 7 Mitchell Park players. Could be closer to 10 by Christmas. First training was supposed to be tonight for the c & d grade at Pnu. I couldn't make it but will find out tomorrow if any showed up.

That seems unusal considering the distance between the clubs.

1. Martin Hamilton Smith CAN recruit.
2. MHS will give away free bins to lure footballers
3. Several Mitchell Park plays already work for MHS
4. MHS is a prick of a man to work for when you don't play footy for his team. I believe he even made one close friend of a poster cry whilst leaving his phone on speaker.
5. MHS is good at luring groups of 2s,3s and 4s as they are more likely to stick it out.
6. MHS doesn't like to see footballers "Wasteaway" in the lower divisions :)

The above reasons and the fact that PNU will need an extra 30-40 on their registered list I'm not surprised to read this.

I set up North Havens D Grade 2 seasons ago because we had too many blokes about 15 miss out each week and they left 20 out of the C Grade GF, we have generally filled the 25 positions in each team but it has been a challenge at times. We have used 120+ players each of the last two years.

But it has been more than worth it.

Wow! 10 posts in and your besmirching a 100 year old club, labelling an entire club as scum and what will truly upset the moderator "hash tagging"

Have had little to do with Ovies but I can certainly say that the few encounters have been very unpleasant. Nothing against the people who played for them in those hundred years prior to last season but the ones from last year deserve this fate and will not be missed.

I certainly see this as fantastic news

Not that it's a big drama, but why is there no fixture for DIV 8 anymore? Was one before Christmas. And what teams are likely to be in DIV 8 this season.

Do the clubs provide umpires in Div 8 & 8R, or are they provided by the league?

You won't see them at training because they don't. Good lads though and would be handy in Div 8 reserves.

Yeah, they're good at that. Not to mention they have also had experience on the upper level in 2012 WW.
