Despite being close in 05 and 06 I find this match up boring

find that hard to believe... 2 very close GF's, great contested footy with some of the best players in the comp goin at it in those 2 GF's... Both games were decided by less then a kick... LEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BARRRYYYY.... however found 06 was the lesser game ;)

Yeah as I said the fact they were close was the saving grace of both. The 05 last minute was great but what I meant was the lead up with 2 non Vic based teams doesn't have the same feeling to me. Not sure if it's because we are saturated by Vic media and there is less hype or what. I guess I gave the same feeling when I'm watching a regular season game. I would much prefer to watch Vic based teams than 2 interstate teams. I do enjoy watching the crows and they are the exception to the rule

Cats playing like poo and 2 games from second spot. Get Varcoe back and we're in the mix. Massive inclusion to our team when he comes back. Write us off at your own peril is all I'll say.

2 games now, but an away game against Sydney this week. Lose and you could be out the 8.

Impossible for the cats to be out the 8 after this round.

Might aswell give the cup to the crows now... no one will get close to them - best midfeild in the comp, best forward line in the comp and a decent defense... Paddy will win the brownlow and tippet will continue to kick bags - he has finally worked out his kicking.

Pies v Eagles looks the likely match up to me. Hawthorns chip chip crap won't stand up in September and the Crows can't beat the Pies at home or away. Sydney a wildcard, certainly a lot better than I thought they would be and they have some genuine pace.

My lot, Essendon, the Saints should all make the eight with the Bluebaggers a chance of missing out altogether. Richmond 9th again and Fremantle to miss as well.

Biggest improver - Adelaide. Biggest dissapointment - North.

Tend to agree on that, especially given how they were playing earlier in the season when they beat GWS by over 20 goals.

Collingwood V West Coast is looking likely.
Adelaide and Hawthorn next in line.
Essendon dont inspire me too much at the moment.
None of the above would want to meet Sydney or Geelong in a knock out final though.

Biggest surprise - Adelaide
Biggest disappointment - Melbourne

I expected the Kangaroos to finish outside the 8 so dont see any reason to be disappointed with their efforts.
