Nixon's been a knob for years, still think it's a shame that Archer didn't knock him out.

I understand we all want the focus of the sport to be about the onfield spectacle, but the AFL should have a had a genuine inquiry (ie, not a token effort) into all/any activities surrounding this girl and their players (and now managers) .. I get the feeling that the hurt being caused runs both ways.

Fully exploring the issues and properly addressing them rather than running in "Brand damage control" mode would have been the way to go and allowed for all parties to be properly dealt with and/or counselled as the case may be, aswell as making a valid statement concerning the treatment of women from within the AFL fraternity.

That would be the smart thing to do, but we're clearly not dealing with smart people here. Except her, she's nuts, but obviously cunning.

You'd think by the age of 47 that you'd stop thinking with the little head and let the big one over ride what it wants. If a girl who is thirty years younger than you is hitting on you, then she is either not right in the head or setting you up. With either scenario the alarm bells should be screaming to stay away.

Had he not noticed all the trouble that swirled around her with the other blokes she's rooted? "Oh yeah, I reckon I can get my bit and nothing will come of it". Deserves everything that's coming to him for his stupidity.

According to Gerard Wheatley (sp?) (ABC, Offsiders, AFL360 etc), it now appears that News Limited is paying for her accommodation.

One wonders whether this is a blatant attempt by News Ltd to keep this sorry saga on the front page for a little longer????
