Anyone have a Samsung galaxy tablet?
If so are they any good?

I'm looking at buying both kids a new tablet and looking at the 8" Samsung tablet.
They both use my work iPads currently so they are used to something reasonable good.

I don't want cheap crap but don't want to spend a fortune either.

Samsung galaxy 8" are on sale currently for $250 which is the cheapest I have seen.
The specs are good but just want to know if anyone on here has used them?

I won a Lenovo ( sp? ) from a business card / golf day draw about 2 years ago. Perfect for just buggering around on. Not sure of price but it's still going strong and Miss Boon ( 16 ) likes it.

They seem pretty easy to use.

Some of the cheaper ones(not Samsung) are a bit slow and sluggish, just wanted to make sure the Samsung galaxy isn't.
Couldn't stand listening to 2 kids saying they are too slow to load apps or web pages.

I tossed up between the Lenovo and the Samsung.
Samsung specs are slightly better however the Lenovo prices are a fair bit cheaper.

Plus junior miss thinks the Samsung looks prettier

I purchased a Tab A (Samsung) mid to late last year. It's good. No problems. 9.7 inch screen, good specs, works for what we need. The equivalent Apple would've cost twice as much, hence it was not really an option.

I bought 2 of the Tab A Samsung 8" this morning from officeworks.
For $250 each for those specs you can't really go wrong.

Work just as well as my iPad which cost three times as much.

I got the S2 and it hasnt missed a beat since i bought it in December. Definately worth shopping around as it was $550 at Officeworks when I was looking but I got it for $435 at Radio Rentals.
Had a cheap Galaxy once for $270 and it was useless as a brick within in a month hence why I opted for the better version this time, definately worth it, the faster processor and better screen are more than worth the difference.
