I"ll be at the next Bledisloe Cup match in Brissie in 3 weeks time so between us we can cheer for them at both games! :D

mate, you should think about it for next year, not too expensive, I got return flights to Auckland for $450, a 3 night accom package including ticket to the game and a pre game function with free beer and snacks and a beanie for about $550 and then some beer tickets to get you through the rest of the weekend. check out the we love rugby site. The normal package is for 2 nights (fri and sat) but we stay the extra night so we can have a recovery day on the sunday before coming home, although we tend to recover in a pub
it is a great weekend

Dunno about "not too expensive" with a family of 4 mate but yeah we did consider it this year but chose the Brisbane match instead. Theme Parks, warmer weather and friends up their swayed us. ;)

30-14 All Blacks, missed 9 points and one of the Kiwis tries froma knock on so not all doom and gloom especially with it being at Eden Park where the Kiwis don't lose.
Aussies are saving their best for the Brisbane game when I'll be there! :D
O'Connor and Digby good out wide and Beale OK but not Quade Coopers best game that's for sure.
Ironically where everyone thought we'd get smashed (in the forwards) was one of our better areas.

Long trip for the boys taking a 3.30am flight out of Auckland straight to South Africa via Sydnay!

Now to look forward to the game next Saturday night at midnight our time, Go Wallabies!

Just cannot afford to have a kicker miss his first 3 penalty attempts. That's supposed to be money in the bank. 17-9 looks a hell of a lot better than 17-0. Amazing the try was allowed after a knock on went 1m forward! I love top level Rugby, but there are some massive issues threatening the game. All kicks should be worth 1 point, tries worth 6. Forward passes and knock ons need to be policed better too. A challenge system might help, plus this forward pass tech I hear about might help, but what was once a magnificent game is being ruined. All sports thrive on the skill under pressure aspect of their game. Aussie rules they want to open up and make free flowing, something I think we all agree is best. But rugby is moving away from that and towards a slow, steady "draw the penalty" game which frankly sucks. When a side would rather a 48m penalty attempt 99% of the time instead of a crack at crossing the line the game is messed up. We want to see one on one backline plays dammit! Forwards offloading fast to prise open a break. Let's see some counter rucks with risk and reward being a decent risk. I used to love seeing Phil Waugh and George Smith specialising in being a nuisance and riding roughshod on the rules if they thought there was a grey area. But now they wouldn't dare because of the chance of getting done for a penalty. Dare I say it, but league looks more and more appealing all the time.....

LOL, I'm the opposite, used to follow League from mid 80s through to about 4 years ago but find it very boring and find the modern day Union much better and more appealing once you fully understand it with tactics, ground coverage, etc as opposed to just running into guys 5 times like in League.
I used to regularly travel interstate to watch league, get up at 4am to watch English Rugby League and go for a drive in the country just to get NSW radio reception of a game but wouldn't even be bothered changing the channel to watch a game of NRL these days.
It was great in the days of Meninga, Lewis, Daley, Langer, Blocker Roach, Fatty Vautin and basically any Canberra or Brisbane side of the early 90s but its boring as batsh!t these days.
Loved watching the likes of Cooper, Beale, O'Connor and Genia this year and love the fact they're all together in the Wallabies side. I've been watching last year's Hong Kong match over and over, so awesome!
Also IMHO the Foxsports coverage of Super 15s and the Wallabies is the best coverage of any sport on Australian TV, I also love the fact that the season starts in February so I can watch some fair dinkum matches as opposed to the fact the AFL and SANFL doesn't dish anything decent up till a couple of months later.

You guys both have great points. The Super 15's coverage is fantastic, I must admit I have been watching a bit more league this season but it shits me that we dont get the Friday night league games live. Definately would love to see penalties only awarded 1 point, get really peeved off when they take the soft option and kick from halfway, need to award attacking rugby and the crowd wants to see sides cross the line.

Oh I still enjoy Rugby more. I don't profess to really understand it but I understand enough to follow what's going on. But it drives me nuts that there are so many skilled players being nullified not by the opposition but by the rules. No way should a penalty be worth 3 points if a try itself is worth 5. The whole aim of the game is to cross that line.

I get the comment about league having blokes running into defenders a lot, but in the end they have to cross the line to score enough points. There are less penalties and the penalty is worth less points in comparison to a try than the Rugby ratio.

just got back from Auckland after watching the game, disappointing by us, Kiwis too good
the local papers over there gave Quade an absolute pasting

only a small contingent of Wallaby supporters this time, most are probably heading over for the world cup
now that Eden Park has been upgraded it is a fabulous stadium, looks good

also caught up with MK and Mr MK at the pre game function and the game, good to catch up guys

Met Ben McAllum, Luke Burgess and Adam Ashley-Cooper at a function tonight. Kids were stoked as they got pics taken with all of them, I was stoked as I got free beer!

Also went to the Queen St Mall earlier today to see some All Blacks including Ritchie McGaw and Williams.

Forecast is for lots of rain in Brisbane tomorrow arvo and night so ir could be ugly.

The buzz around Brisbane for this match is huge.
