Really disappointing 3rd term after leading at the half.

The Sydney Kings have made what they hope will be a big import signing in former NBA journeyman Josh Powell. The 6'9" PF has played for 7 NBA teams and won two championships with the Lakers in 2009 & 2010. He's been playing recently in China and is expected to arrive in Australia in time to play in the Kings Round 2 game on Thursday against the Hawks.

Also prior to tip-off tonight Melbourne United announced they've signed former Tiger Bennie Lewis as a temporary injury replacement for David Barlow who missed all of last season due to an achilles injury and it appears still isn't right. Lewis has been playing in the SEABL.

They're also making the extra pass in offense and getting good looks.

Sixers extend the lead to 15 at the last break.

Should close this one out. Must make a statement and win by 20+

For a 2nd gamer, Jacobsen showed some promising signs.

I didn't even bother watching this game today thinking we would get blown out by 40, went out to the Barossa instead

Not sure how it happened but great win and clearly a much better performance from Randle & DJ.

We play United again at home on Friday night, Demopoulos could be in trouble if they drop that game to us again and then the Hawks too.

Excellent crowd numbers for the NBL in Round 1, an average of almost 7,500 per game and 1,200 more than the best attended round from last season.
