I still think they did alright, too bad about the last quarter blow out.

Think Delladova, Ingles and Anderson might be looked at by the NBA scouts after this series.

Yeah that sucked, Kobe got hot in the 4th and they ramped up the D. Good effort for 3 quarters though.

Patty & Ingles had excellent tournaments and you'd have to think that was the last game for Matt Nielsen & hopefully Brett Brown!

USA 119 (Bryant 20, Williams 18, Anthony 17, Durant 14, James 11, Love 10) def Australia 86 (Mills 26, Ingles 19, Andersen 11, Newley 10)

It was a good performance I thought this morning.

Pity we couldn't start the tournament off better and avoid the USA in a quarter Final so we could at least challenge for a medal.

Our ranking indicates our standing in the Basketball World.
I doubt we could have beaten any of the sides in the quarters.
Agree about Brett Brown, ordinary coach

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/national/meeting-with-commonwealth-bank-key-to-adelaide-36ers-fate/story-fndo471r-1226449301410

ADELAIDE 36ers' owners have urged the Commonwealth Bank for an answer about granting them a lease to stay at Adelaide Arena.

A new lease would see the team play at the venue for the 2012-13 National Basketball League season.

Sixers' majority owner Daryl Simmons expected to know yesterday whether his club had a new lease until April next year but last night still had no answer.

The bank took possession of the 36ers' home venue when its previous owner, Eddy Groves, defaulted on his loan, and is keen to sell the facility.

With no suitable alternative venue in Adelaide, the 36ers yesterday privately conceded the club would have to "look at its options going forward" if the Arena was unavailable.

If the 36ers drop out of the NBL, it would be reduced to a seven-team league which assuredly would impact negatively on its sponsorship and television contracts.

If Adelaide Arena is put up for sale and the 36ers turfed out, there is no alternative venue at which they can play. The Adelaide Entertainment Centre is not viable, with only four dates from the current schedule transferable.

The costs of a portable court and inability to service corporate sponsors also makes a switch financially untenable for the team.

With the 36ers due to play their opening match of the 2012-13 season on Sunday, October 7, the club's chief executive officer Leeanne Grantham last night issued a statement to Sixers' members and fans.

"Unfortunately, we still do not have an answer from the Commonwealth Bank as to whether they will grant us a lease to remain at the Arena for the 2012-13 season," it said.

"This is immensely frustrating for us and all 36ers fans.

"We have made it very clear to the Commonwealth Bank that we must know as a matter of urgency, because we all want to see the 36ers take the court from October 7.

"There is no question the longer we do not have a decision on our lease, the harder it is for us to prepare for the 2012-13 season.

Unfortunately, for us in South Australia, there is no alternate, available venue to stage our NBL matches."

The 36ers are one of the NBL's most successful clubs, with a 30-year history, four championship flags and regular attendance of 5000.

The 36ers said yesterday the Commonwealth Bank have given them the go ahead to play at Adelaide Arena this season and the 36ers will officially sign the new lease on Monday. The whole thing was a bit of a beat up IMO.

Today the Melbourne Tigers announced they've signed their second import in Kevin Braswell who won a championship with the NZ Breakers in 2011 and has been playing in the New Zealand league.
