Be careful with these. I think if you don't cancel your subscription before the end of trial it charges you for a normal subscription???

Most games are on early tomorrow due to MLK Day.

Bulls-Lakers is on at a normal time thankfully.

Just been reading about that.
The deal needs approval from the NBA Board of Governers but there looks a good chance the Seattle SuperSonics will return next season.

Good news IMO.

I was led to believe that OKC owns the rights to the Supersonics name and wont allow it to be used.
They will either be the Seattle Kings or newly named

I just read that they can use the supersonics name and that this is the likely outcome. Used to enjoy the sonics play in the mid nineties. They had a great team

Would be a crazy situation if there was a team in Seattle and unable to use the Supersonics nickname because of OKC.

But overall, this is a smart decision for the NBA to make. 4 teams in one (albeit big and important) state is too mane when there are states with no team at all. Even more bizzarre when you think Seattle is the 15th biggest city in the 13th most populous state that they had nothing in Seattle during those years with 3 franchises struggling for air around the Lakers in California.

And just on the Lakers, I'm getting awfully close to writing them off. I thought keeping Gasol when they added Howard would see them waltz to the top end of the West and they would be big rivals with OKC, but they suck. Kobe can't pass and doesn't know when to not take a shot, Nash seems to have no ability to run the offense, Howard is being used too little and end up being an easy way to catch up if you foul him and Gasol is being totally wasted. Nevermind they can't (or won't) play D and can't keep hold of the ball. At least they've discovered Earl Clark might be able to play, but they'll probably look to draft him before he becomes an unrestricted free agent or they'll probably lose him for nothing. I also think it's near certain Howard will walk.

Pacers win a close one against the Grizzlies.
Surprise packets of the year IMO, thought the Pacers would really struggle this year but they are a real chance of getting in the playoffs

8.5 games ahead of Philly who are the 9th side and going worse than New York! In fact, only 1 side from outside the playoff spots is gaining on New York is Detroit who are still 10.5 games behind them. I'll wager they do make the playoffs.

Youre probably right but there is no point going in as a number 5-8 seed which is what could happen. Had a 6 game break on sides like Brooklyn, Chicago and Indy a few weeks ago now everyone is hot on our heels. Think we have only won 3 of last 10 which is extremely poor.

Lakers are done
Bulls are going along nicely considering they are missing a few key players.
Definately one to look out for in playoffs if they get back to full strength
