This probably draws Lakers ahead of the Thunder and equal to the Heat.

Hopefully Dwight's back doesn't hold up....

Brandon Roy has signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves, after a similar procedure to his knees that Kobe Bryant had, after having retired prior to the beginning of last season.
They've also waived Darko under the Amnesty clause.
By the way MP, I will certainly admit after all these years that I was most definitely wrong about Kobe Bryant.

Might have to jog my memory, mate!

One of the many things I love about Kobe is that he's gonna be a one-team player.

Like Magic. And Larry Legend. Much as I hate the Bulls, I really wish Jordan had been, too.

Big title run for the next couple years and then to rebuild a dynasty around Superman.

Lakers front office do it again!

:D

He's only a one team player because he had a whinge and didn't want to play for the team that drafted him. ;)

I know you're only TTP but I think that was one of the reasons why I didn't like him at first, the fact that the Charlotte Hornets had the moxy to pick him at 13 in the 1996 draft back before that became the norm to draft players straight out of high school - won't happen again under current rules and he was only the second taken in the modern era after Kevin Garnett - and he then wouldn't play for them and let's be honest, he wasn't a total certainty to be a star then because he was taken after such luminaries as Lorenzen Wright, Todd Fuller, Vitaly Potapenko and Samaki Walker. Having said that though, once his star qualities became apparent he probably would have been acquired by one of the big market teams anyway.
